I'm sure he would have gone if it was on the West Coast. But if you have Alex Navarro in NYC and you don't send him to an event there, there's really no point in having him on the staff.

This...And I don't see why they cant "skype"in Patrick on a regular basis. The reason given when he left to Chicago a while back seemed dumb. Vinny seemed to have a solution then and it shows because Patrick only seems to appear when Vinny hosts. It sounds "natural" like he in the studio anyway, I don't see why they don't make it official. Hell who knows maybe its Patrick who cant do it logistically anymore.

Vinny's hosting and editing is ridiculously good though, especially the latter. The editing when Jeff sold World of Warcraft was amazing.

I totally feel the same way. It's honestly not mean-spirited towards Jeff (I think he's awesome), but the energy is just that much better with Vinny leading through. It's more brisk, inquisitive and joyful.

Making Vinny host and bringing in more guests every so often and Patrick weekly for news would be awesome, imo.

Co-signage...at the very least switch off every week. Player one used to change host often and it switched things up for better or worse.

I think Jeff-casts work best when they're once every blue moon and totally off the rails. I think a regular Vinny-cast with a few Jeff-casts spread throughout the year would play to their strengths.

So, after the first VinnCast, while an incredible episode (already listed to it two times and I'm sure I'll shoot for a third one of these days), I honestly just chalked it up to Vincent just having a really good first run.

Nope.

This episode made me realize that I really want Vinny to host the Bombcast from now on. I still love my man Jeff (Gerstmann that is, not Green, though he's cool too) but there's just a different attitude when Vinny's hosting that changes the atmosphere and in turn the episode into a lot more light-hearted and much more fun thing to listen too. I haven't even read the comments in this thread, but I'm almost positive they'll all line up with how I feel.

Anyway, I loved this episode. Like Brad Muir, and obviously Jeff Green is MADE for the bombcast and Giantbomb in general.
