That was Fish's problem in a nutshell. He was right a lot of the time and he had interesting things to say, but he said them in the most abrasive ways. He did not care how others viewed him...until he did and couldn't take the backlash. I really hope he's secretly making Fez 2 and just ignores Twitter when he announces it.

I am hoping that Amazon price matches it soon. Anyone else interested can go to the "Product Details" section on that page and click the last link titled "tell us about a lower price" and fill in the Gamestop details. Maybe multiple people doing it will move it up on their response list or something.

Yeah, me too. I know he said some stuff that people took issue with to start with, I can only assume he got so much vitriol from people that he didn't know how to handle it and started lashing out at people, which makes him even more of a target. I don't think he's done anything all that bad really, he just doesn't know how to respond to people and lacks tact. Hopefully you're right and he's just told people he's cancelled the game to get them to leave him alone for a bit, and when the game's released we can judge it on it's own merits. If the man's biggest problem is that he's been a bit of a dick on the internet then I don't see why that makes him any worse than everyone who's been attacking him since.

Summer Sale in July, Halloween Sale in October, Autumn Sale in November and a Winter Sale in December. In addition to the usual daily/week-long/midweek/weekend deals that are peppered throughout the year, there's the occasional publisher-specific sale.

Grid 2, yes or no? Played the demo, and it didn't feel like anything special, even though I quite I liked the first one.
I think you could say that he's entitled to feel like Japanese games aren't great, but it's definitely writing off a wide range of games where there's a few good ones in there. He just might not like the style of them or the settings/themes etc.
It's like my girlfriend says she doesn't like "science" films so won't watch anything from Star Trek to Pacific Rim, The Matrix to Gravity etc. There's a whole bunch of genres she's missing out on and some great films, but she just doesn't connect to that sort of thing. She's entitled to feel that way even if you disagree with what she's saying. If you don't like science in your films you'd say she's right. If you love science you might take offence.

Like, I'll read a post about someone being angry over Phil Fish then look at the avatar and it is almost always anime-based in some way.
I don't like Phil Fish, but I wouldn't go so far as to call him racist. I will say he seems like a loudmouthed cry baby.
It's crazy that the Autumn and Winter Sale are so close to each other. Only a two week difference, correct?
I mean, I feel like I'm in a party with you all, dancing all the time drinking some expensive stuff and when we wake up after this sale is over we will have a huge hangover while looking at our library and gathering the memories of the games we bought... and then, before you know, bam! Winter Sale. And it starts all over again.
But I really like the Winter Sale to be honest, with all the cold outside, having a bit of hot coffee or tea and play a winter-game (I find that there are games for each real-life seasons) it's the best.

The good thing is valve has confirmed that these are winter sale prices so you won't get burned in two weeks.
About three weeks, yeah. I bought some more licensed stuff earlier but I passed on Guardians of Middle-earth as it may be featured during the Winter Sale (ideally 75%, but more likely, considering the general discount of 50%, is 66%).
I think that's just the case with a lot of people sporting anime avatars in general. Anger and anime in a 1-2-1 correlation. Maybe I'm being avatarist?
