I wouldn't expect nearly as much depth, but still more than enough to keep me entertained for quite a while.

Especially with this game's amazing creature design.

I already toned down my expectations significantly after the 2011 trailer, and was more than fine with Duscae combat, but when I got my hands on the Platinum Demo... SHEEEIT.

Yeah and some of the Ascension grid skills already have me imagining things you can...and then some make me roll my eyes. (the long car ride ones)

I'm not gonna lie, even though you're just having fun, it IS a bit awkward, and I think it's because of the party. If it's just Noctis against two rhinos? Then fuck that shit, gotta do whatever you have to in order to survive. But 4 powerful dudes hitting an animal feels wrong.

I imagine a lot of it has to do with not playing it myself, though. When I'm playing it and the rhino hits me like a truck, I'll probably stop caring and just want to kill it.
