Oh my god, we're actually getting Berbatov.
Bud, the original consortium is still watching and we feel like you've betrayed the trust with the current prefix to this thread. Change now or there will be consequences.

Pls understand.

Why don't you post here?

Getting Berbs doesn't rule out Morata. We have room. We have the money. If we get Berbs tomorrow i will be ecstatic. Worst case scenario would be we spend all of January chasing Morata and then it falls apart on the last day and we get no one.

Whilst he may suit Arsenal better than he did United, I don't think Berba will solve anything tbh. Extremely frustrating player.

He obviously isn't the answer, but he can be useful. If he scores 5 goals I will think it was worth it. He is worth the gamble.

2 year contract or less pls.

Given his age an extreme short term solution. I will still be extremely surprised if we sign a 33yr old player.

VERY surprised if it's longer than 1 year.

We've the best midfield in the country.

As long as he doesn't miss sitters, he'll be an improvement.

Hmmm

Giroud does do a lot of donkey work up top in fairness to him.

Kind of pun intended.

Berba will do none of that. Bags of talent but not what you need for me. Still a noticeable lack of pace.

THis is all assuming this is true btw.

Imagine Giroud, Bendtner and Berbatov winning the title instead of Suarez, Aguero, Hazard, RVP, Adnan.. It's so wrong..

It has to happen.

So we're not getting Salah in January, but when we get Salah in January, we're loaning Sterling to Swansea...

Cool.

Paul Pogba: 'It is no secret...I dream of playing for Arsenal or Barcelona. I have done since I was a child.'

Now for the real quote

“I won’t deny as a child I dreamed of playing for Arsenal or Barcelona, but now I dream of playing for France against my brothers as they play for Guinea.

“For me Juve is Zidane, Trezeguet and Nedved. It is talent, class, discipline and teamwork. As for me, I know promising success isn’t enough, as you have to maintain those promises. I am not embarrassed by my talent, nor do I have an absurd rush to prove myself. I’ve been through the ranks, so I know it’s a journey and I am eyeing the final destination.”

and it sounds like he had a miserable time in England.

“The truth is I really struggled to settle in England. The first six months of learning English was hellish, as if you don’t know the language then the British aren’t very helpful.

“Italian football is much more tactical than in England, but at the moment Serie A is underestimated. There is so much pressure, apprehension, tension and obsession here. It’s true, I suffer at being marked so tightly. Plus the media talks about one gesture for the whole week, so you never breathe a sigh of relief. Mind you, that excessive focus is what makes Italian football so anomalous, different, difficult and in the end also extraordinary.”

Remy Cabella

THERE IS A PATTERN

I seriously hope we get Cabella. Always liked the look of him and I think Newcastle is the perfect side for him to get a taste of Premier League with
before an inevitable 50m move to PSG in a year
.

This probably means farewell Ben Arfa, though I'd prefer if it meant no more Obertan on the bench. :lol

Manchester is miserable. Now London.....

Same story, it's no Italia.

I'm sure England is a closed chapter in his life. His next destination could be Madrid or Paris.

Unless he pulls a Nedved/Trezeguet? But I don't see it.

I really like it.

Is there porn of the girl in the skirt? Being groped in a train or bus only to unwillingly accept the penis, preferably.

That's Helenius. Not Kozak.

By the way, a guy claiming to be ITK for Villa lately said Kozak was out for the season at about lunchtime today but there were no media sources reporting it, or on twitter. Seems we have a legit one for a change.

http://www.telegraph.co.uk/sport/football/teams/chelsea/10547871/Chelsea-plan-second-bid-for-Napoli-striker-Gonzalo-Higuain-after-having-50-million-offer-rejected.html

Chelsea have had a £50 million bid for Napoli striker Gonzalo Higuaín rejected as Jose Mourinho tries to add some much-needed firepower to his attack.

Napoli have not given any encouragement to Chelsea in their efforts to land Higuaín and insist the Argentine, who played under Mourinho at Real Madrid, is not for sale.
Higuaín has scored nine goals in 16 league games since moving from Spain to Italy in the summer.

That may not deter Chelsea owner Roman Abramovich, who agrees the lack of goals from strikers is the major weakness in the side.
He is willing to back Mourinho in the transfer market, even though the club posted losses of almost £50 million last season.

With German club Wolfsburg keen to sign Kevin De Bruyne, Chelsea hope to receive as much as £25 million for the Belgian international who has rarely played this season.
That will help finance the move for a forward, with other sales likely this month to help balance the books.

Juan Mata has been told by Mourinho that he still has a future at the club but cannot be guaranteeda starting position.

A bid of more than £20 million would be a tempting offer for Chelsea to part with him, particularly as Mata knows he needs to be playing regularly to keep his place in the Spain side.

Should Chelsea sign a centre-forward in this window, Demba Ba has been told he will be allowed to leave Stamford Bridge.

Ba thought he was going to Arsenal on loan in the summer, but Chelsea cancelled the proposed transfer on deadline day when Arsène Wenger landed Mesut Özil from Real Madrid as they feared the threat of a resurgent London rival.

Ba is extremely frustrated about a lack of first-team opportunities and is likely to attract interest from former club Newcastle United, as well as West Ham and Fulham, should Chelsea give the green light to his departure.

The Senegal striker moved to Stamford Bridge only 12 months ago, but he has struggled to persuade Mourinho he is good enough to play regularly for a team looking to mount a title challenge.

The 28-year-old has enjoyed prolific spells at West Ham and Newcastle since arriving in English football in January 2011 and Chelsea would hope to at least recoup the £7.5 million they paid for him a year ago to activate a release clause in his contract at St James’ Park.

Ba has scored just three times in 23 league appearances for Chelsea and is at the stage of his career where he does not merely want to sit on the bench, particularly as he was first choice at West Ham and Newcastle.

Chelsea would be reluctant to let Ba move to a team challenging them for the title, although Arsenal retain an interest in him and are likely to bid if it becomes clear the player is allowed to move this month.

What. the. fuck.
