It sure is. I like it better than the Chronic. It's pretty close to perfect in my eyes. My number 1 west coast album for sure.

As big of a West Coast guy as I am, I don't hold The Chronic in very high regard. It might not even be in my top 20. I recognize it for the landmark album that it is, but I just could never really get into it. And I heard it everyday when it came out. Not that I was playing it myself, but you'd hear it slapping out the trunks of cars all day long where I lived.
One of the greatest songs from of the greatest albums of all-time. My favorite verse has to be Mos' on Thieves in the Night. Oh, that beat. So simple yet perfect. Really glad to have seem them perform a few times now including a complete performance of the album.

I have been saying this for awhile now. Shit was just a lot different than what people wanted and expected. I only felt a few songs were downright bad. The rest I enjoyed to varying degrees.
Edit: I havnt slept in 36 hours. Im starting to feel weird. But I have people coming over soon....must...stay...up..Gaf Hop, give me some artists outside my wheel house to listen to. I need to occupy myself with things.

What do you guys think of like an Unappreciated Album of the Week type thing? I'm pretty down to get this going on. I know there's a lot of albums that I haven't heard that I should and now that Wu-Mondays and shit have died out I think it'd be good.
My plan is this. Start at the top of the highest posters in the thread list and work down. If it's your week you get to pick an album on say a Monday. People have until like saturday or sunday to listen to it, and then we discuss, good, bad whatever.
I think Wu Mondays was a little flawed, but a great idea. I wanna get to know more albums, so I think it's a great idea!

This is great idea. Wu-Mondays got me listening to some albums I wouldn't have checked for otherwise, but by limiting the selection to only Wu shit, it was bound to run out of steam. This is cool because it breaks up the normal GAF-HOP cycle and lets different posters have their own personal weeks to shine
