Kirk tuck has some blogs on how he shoots food I quite like it because in his photos its about the food not about how many or how complicated his light setup is or anything like that. Essentially his setup is off camera lights/flashes. Check out his blog.
I drove out of the city early this morning to catch a clear moonless sky (I live in the Chicago suburbs).
Some whispy clouds moved in, but I had a nice window to shoot about an hour before dawn. I did this with the Samyang 8mm f2.8 fisheye with my NEX-5T. I am pleased with the results.
