i don't' agree, its much easier to keep your wrist straight if the keys have a slight angle to them.joelseph said:Resting your wrists on contoured keyboards will lead to damage just as quick, fyi.

I guess for gaming if your just using your left hand on it you can twist the whole keyboard to align the keys better, but if your typing its not physically possible if your shoulders are even remotely wide

Leopold Tenkeyless Linear Touch Cherry Red MX (6+4 N-Rollover in USB) - $109
Because it feels good, and it gets rid of a part of the keyboard most people don't use. You can buy a numpad separately or buy a version of the keyboard with one if you want one.a176 said:why would you pay $110 for half a keyboard

Because it's made with extremely high quality parts and not everyone needs or wants an attached numpad?a176 said:why would you pay $110 for half a keyboard

Topre switches. They're a complicated type of switch that combines a silicone dome, a specially shaped spring, and capacitive sensors. People like them because they've got an absurdly long lifespan and feel amazing to type on.Pazuzu9 said:Why on earth are those Happy Hacking keyboards $300?
to maximise your desk space when playing FPS games? if i could afford a HHK i'd have one.a176 said:why would you pay $110 for half a keyboard
hahaha. no.Refreshment.01 said:It's like using the "gaming" adjective skyrockets the device price from $50 and upwards. Some of this keyboards have decent features like glowing keys but the price premium? too steep.
Personally, I'd prefer something like the G13 with a bigger analog stick in a better position, mechanical keys in a more sensible layout, and no silly price-inflating LCD.Refreshment.01 said:What i would really like is some peripheral developer like Logitech to release a product like Sony's Nav controller with a gyro and 2 more buttons to eliminate the keyboard from the equation.

Topre's hybrid capacitive switches and high quality keycaps. They're expensive, but even better than mechanical Cherry switches. I prefer the tenkeyless ones with arrow keys over the HHKB, though.Pazuzu9 said:Why on earth are those Happy Hacking keyboards $300?

I like mechanical and scissor switch keyboards. So I just choose whatever feels better for the day (admittedly 99% of the time my mx brown filco)

Tenkeyless are normally cheaper.a176 said:so why not sell it for cheaper than the full size?

They probably should, but they sell mostly to enthusiasts who aren't really pinching pennies.a176 said:so why not sell it for cheaper than the full size?
Plagiarize, you never seemed to me like the guy that gives these short trivial answers, so an explanation from your part would be apreciated as alwaysplagiarize said:hahaha. no.
Tried at a friends house, it was ok, but not 50 bucks ok. A device like the nav controller with some motion sensing would be more confortable to me and would allow for more freedom of postures.Orayn said:Personally, I'd prefer something like the G13 with a bigger analog stick in a better position, mechanical keys in a more sensible layout, and no silly price-inflating LCD.

My reasoning comes from the experience, when playing in the dark sometimes it becomes difficult to search for the correct key. Other of the "decent" features of thesescamsdevices are a local headphone and USB port.

Thanks for both expanding the answer and the recommendation.plagiarize said:sometimes i can be a bit of a dick
basically, if you go back and look at the picture i posted of the keyboard i have, you'd understand my feeling on a backlit keyboard. i find the glow a distraction in a dark room, personally. and obviously if i thought it was helpful, i wouldn't have a keyboard with blank keys.
