I wish there was 1 hot lean female chick part of the team. This team of 4 buff steroid men thing GoW is going for is so unoriginal. They all look the same! I can see having no personal connection with any of them. Maybe Fenix, but he even looks bland as hell.... I mean WTF Marcus Fenix sounds like a Porno name.

Yeah, the hot female video character is incredibly original. We need more of that.

That's EXACTLY how I felt! Damn, I can't believe they were so ambitious with a multiplayer outfit. I mean, that's like some DOA4 shit times a thousand. It might as well be called a Clippers uniform, like, do you know I mean? And yet it looked solid as a god damned rock out there.

Just all kind of awesome getting doled out from this game. Now I want to see this EGM cover story....TO THE NEWSSTAND!

I agree. Also lesbians. That would be more original and quality. They should add them as a DLC and just watch the filthy money roll in. Can't wait to play GoW in any form though. Should be more awesome than nuns on jetskis.

One little nit pick....the animations for in and out of cover could be a bit more natural. Right now it the character sort of forces the "impact" It looks overdone.

While I like the slam animation, I do agree it looks a bit off when he slowly eeks up to a wall and does it.

Prolly too late, but it'd be sweet if it was context sensitive. After a roadie run = total slam, light run = lighter slam, walk/slowly creep = "stealthy" wall apprach.

Ah well. Won't notice after a few minutes anywho, I guess.

Damn... I just got on the PC, and searched for the topic just to post this! Should've known one of you owls would have posted this first! :)

Man the game looks so solid, and I love the cloth animation on the Locust also - ever since I saw the first pic of him, I wondered how it would animate - very cool...

What weapons can we expect? Assault rifle with chainsaw is kinda getting old, the only other thing I've seen is a shotgun and bolo grenades.

I'm sure there are more, but so far the only cool thing is the chainsaw. Resistence has made a point about showing off the unique weapons, does GoW even have any? Also, do the bad guys even have unique weapons? Also, how many can you carry at once?

There are lots of things that we haven't seen in gameplay yet, like the torque bow, sticking people with grenades, the laser guided weapon, and so on... they are still trying to give us surprises I'm sure...

they've only shown a couple of weapons. In the Mark Rein interview thread he says they're keeping most of the features under wraps until it ships.

Looks like two main weapons, a pistol and grenades can be carried at once.

They do show about one second of grenade sticking in the "X06: Xbox 360 Game Montage" on marketplace. Looks like the melee attack of the spiked Bolo grenade. Apparently you can just shove the armed 'nade right into the Locust's mouth for massive damage. :)

IIRC there is some energybow weapon thingie that shoots some sort of arrows you can detonate later. And then there is the Hammer of Dawn of course.

I'm sure Cliffy has said that he doesn't want the game full of gimmicky weapons but to have a handful of weapons that are just as useful as each other.

Any word on what the online matchmaking will be like on this one? I haven't seen anything on it. Hopefully it will be similar to Halo 2 in some shape or form.

BTW, first post here after lurking for years.

Well, GOW isn't Resistance though. I mean, unique weapons is expected from an Insomniac title, whereas GOW seems to have an entirely different focus.

Oh yeah, I did forget to mention that, yeah...

And that's right, they haven't shown us the grenade finisher yet either...

Hammer of Dawn: It's a satelitte weapon, you can chase people around with it. I'd forgotten about it, lol.

I'd like to see some gimmicky weapons, I mean Halo at least has the needler. HoD sounds cool, though.

Resistance is still trying to sell itself, Gears sold itself at E3. I think Resistance is showing a bit too much. I'm a little surprised that they showed the big Widowmaker (spider) thing...Gears has huge creatures like that as well, but they're all surprises for Emergence day.
