Kim Wu looks great, I am assuming her heritage has changed to Chinese now based on her stage. The new lighting engine looks fantastic, really elevates the overall look of the game.

The Rash taunt, greatest taunt in a fighting game easily.

Do I win a prize for talking about my penis on the Internet???
Glacius buffs are the best. Spinal will be insanity to watch lol.

Kim Wu's gameplay and mechanics look amazing. I'll be honest though, her face needs work, it's not MK bad but could really use some polish. Hopefully in the next month or so they can improve it.

We really need gifs of that. But considering that this thread barely reached 8 pages I'm not gonna hold my breath. Wish I knew how to do it.

I'm awful at this

Lmao, love it.

Between now and launch I'm sure Kim Wu will get some improvements, characters always have in the past, right now her face just needs some improvements. Overall it's a great design I think. Adam Isgreen confirmed her hair is an accessory so look forward to what other styles they come up with.

I'm not a KI guy, but was it ever stated she was Korean? From this it sounds like she was always Chinese

BTW, common pronunciations for the character "gold" in Japanese kanji (gon), Korean hanja (gim transliterated 'Kim'), and Vietnamese hantu (gim transliterated 'Kim') all derive from the ancient Chinese hanzi (something similar to kim or gam).

Just turned on the stream, why is James Chen commentating Killer Instinct?
I don't remember all the details but I think he was always interested in it and started playing it recently. After learning all the mechanics and stuff about it, he wanted to be a KI commentator also since KI didn't have much to begin with so we'll probably see more of him in the future.

Who is James Chen though?
James Chen is one of the most well known SF/Fighting game commentators in the world and is part of the commenting duo with his fellow friend, UltraDavid, to make up UltraChen. If you watch any huge fighting tournaments like Evo, the duo will usually be commentating the SF streams so seeing James commenting KI is pretty new to everyone.

Ah cool. I've watched SF at Evo before, just didn't realise this was the guy who commentates.

That Shago bandana is pretty dorky

I'm pretty sure she is still Korean, her music was reminiscence of K-pop.

Nice Sabrewulf doesn't look cell shaded anymore.

Waterhorses is great, I feel like this is the first time I've seen him.

He's a semi regular at the weekly online 8 bit beat down tournaments. Probably the best Glacius I've seen.

When somebody pulls off 2 consecutive Counter Breakers, that's not a stick issue, that's them owning your mind.

lol

BChen is basically how I'd be if I was in this tournament. Although I think my combo game is far better than his.

HAHA at the dude cosplaying Orchid in the background!

Is there a comprehensive breakdown of that 3-hour preview? I see a list of balance changes and the Kim Wu trailer on SRK, but nothing else. Is that it?

CStyles's Aganos was my first exposure to the character, and damn if he doesn't look like the coolest dude ever. I was planning on trying out Thunder when KI comes to PC, but Aganos might've just jumped to the top of the list.
