Updates and new situations will say Thursday
Subject: Game Sales
First, we apologize first.
Toka was sorry to say I do 売Ren wwwww Yu Baroshi wwwwww Rhythm Thief.
Once, Mr. operating SEGA "The book came extremly Temashi rhythm thief, and capped it is better to add the wholesaler's right away." What is the middle I said, "... Well, No way do not recommend their products and sales , and it's hard not to say I also Nantes heart "I was sorry Nantes.

Good evening.

I thought ... I also welcome one Saturday a tough sell, because that was hurriedly added piece by piece by the buyer.
Because I was so lost weekend minutes.
But because a small number of initial orders, small minute denominator What I think may be sold many 貰Ere.

Have you only one I actually have! What happened my love? !

The Z sword fight Kagura also 売Remashi Sister, when I tried to add "but hung on high ..." What is said through it. As long as there is no possibility to put an urgent large.

...And another one

With VITA in Japan, I think it would be a good start if Sony can get new PSP and Yakuza games on the system. Sony should try to become Sega's best friend in a hurry.

The only thing I can understand is a bit of what is said in Tadapon's report, thanks to Google Translation.

Limited edition of Heroes Phantasia sold out, Rhythm Thief R which sold 50% of its shipment in the first day. Let's remember: THE PERCENTAGES ARE REFERRING TO ITS STORE AND AREN'T REFERRING TO NATIONWIDE SITUATIONS

It's the same store where those infamous percentages of Vita ( 85% Wi-Fi / 35% 3G ) have been taken.

But we have seen footage of RE:R with much larger room than "small corridors".
I havnt played it myself, so i cant really comment much on it. I just wanted to answer to the quote earlier that when you make games that are focused in smaller spaces, it requires less geometry, and then you have more free hardware power for other things. It is nothing negative about it, it applies to pretty much every system.

Cores, shaders and BIOS oh my!
From all we know, the 3DS is really limited in terms of geometry, so I'd agree with the sentiment that we won't get to see something that looks as good as Wii's top games.

Revelation is the best-looking 3DS game, and from all we've seen (and get to play) so far it only has very small areas and corridors. After playing the demo I'd actually say that RE4 looks better :p
There are some more open RE5 style areas too, with distant backgrounds etc, as seen in previous RAID mode footage (I dunno if there are clips showing those, saw it on a live stream). And it's still the first serious effort in this manner, things are bound to improve in time. Mercenaries did well too with having levels straight from RE5. Yes, with some shortcomings like the low enemy fps in the distance, but then again, that wasn't even a serious effort. You also don't have to limit yourself to indoor environments just to limit how much shit is rendered on screen, with good design you can have any type of environment with things obstructing the view all over the place whether it's natural formations or an urban environment or whatever. Of course one probably shouldn't expect to get an Assassin's Creed type game with the same visual quality as REvelations but there's still plenty of room for different gameplay experiences that could potentially look as good. FPS games, adventure games, action games, dungeon crawlers, stealth games, and so on. You could even have an Elder Scrolls like if you did an Arx Fatalis style twist to it, without necessarily compromising size and scope. Not every game is an open sandbox allowing you to climb to the highest rooftop seeing everything. It just remains to be seen if many will actually dedicate this level of resources to 3DS games.

If anyone is interested in the prediction game, let me know. I'll try to carry on.

These are the obvious games:

[PS3] Armored Core V
[3DS] Resident Evil Revelations
[PSV] Tales of Innocence R

And then a wildcard:

[360] Armored Core V
[PSP] Mobile Suit Gundam: Mokuba no Kiseki
[PS3] The Idolmaster: Gravure 4 You! Vol. 4

Everyone predicting crap and nobody noticed this? I'm in Road! (I'd put all the titles but you decide)

Predictions:

[PS3] Armored Core V - 197.000
[3DS] Resident Evil Revelations - 211.000
[PSV] Tales of Innocence R - 59.000
[360] Armored Core V - 16.000
[PSP] Mobile Suit Gundam: Mokuba no Kiseki - 83.000
[PS3] The Idolmaster: Gravure 4 You! Vol. 4 - 35.000

There are slow weeks and all of them will make top 20.

Better then ;D And thanks for the Famitsu numbers!

With VITA in Japan, I think it would be a good start if Sony can get new PSP and Yakuza games on the system. Sony should try to become Sega's best friend in a hurry.

You and I think alike. Being buddies with SEGA means real Miku, Phantasy Star, Yakuza, and Valkyria Chronicles.

Predictions:

[PS3] Armored Core V - 198,765
[3DS] Resident Evil Revelations - 156,789
[PSV] Tales of Innocence R - 45,678
[360] Armored Core V - 19,876
[PSP] Mobile Suit Gundam: Mokuba no Kiseki - 67,879
[PS3] The Idolmaster: Gravure 4 You! Vol. 4 - 15,016

I think RE:R will do much better than a bit over 200k LTD, I'm ready to eat crow if I'm wrong, but 200k lifetime is a ridiculously low prediction.

[PS3] Armored Core V - 140.000
[3DS] Resident Evil Revelations - 190.000
[PSV] Tales of Innocence R - 45.000
[360] Armored Core V - 14.000
[PSP] Mobile Suit Gundam: Mokuba no Kiseki - 70.000
[PS3] The Idolmaster: Gravure 4 You! Vol. 4 - 15.000

Oh, the irony. Sonyfans "begging" for Segas support, this is priceless.

The only one of those franchises that was even around when SEGA made hardware was Phantasy Star.

SEGA is a very competent third party publisher now, so there isn't much surprise in wanting their support.

Real Miku will be destroyed but Diabetes-inducing Miku, she doesn't stand a chance :p

(In all seriousness isn't Project Diva Vita pretty much confirmed at this point?)

Oh, the irony. Sonyfans "begging" for Segas support, this is priceless.

I'm not sure what you're getting at.
Sega provided some of the best PSP software. Only natural to want to keep that relationship alive.
I know I'm hoping for it.
I'm a total Phantasy Star freak, please don't abandon the Vita, Sega, pleasepleaseplease

I wouldn't be surprised if Valkyria takes a nap after PSP. The series did okay but it never came close to being the Sakura Taisen successor Sega probably wanted. Shining Blade should be interesting to watch.

Project Diva 3 and Phantasy Star Victory will undoubtedly be Vita games, though I think there's a chance PSV could migrate back down to PSP or betrayaton over to 3DS. Either option really makes more sense than going ahead with Vita at this point, but you know, it's Sega.

I think 250-300k probably.

Oh, the irony. Sonyfans "begging" for Segas support, this is priceless.

I see the irony but with who else could Sony "be friends" to help Vita? Bandai Namco is the only one, because Capcom gave them the cold shoulder and S-E is a trainwreck right now.

And be careful with your wording there because you could start some fanboy shit that is not necessary ;D

RE:R 200k week one? You guys have self hyped yourselves into crazytown. Itll probably do a bit more than 200k LTD. Week one? Lol...

So do you think you can win against me? Less talking and more predicting then!

Er, I think that was one guy and I don't think he was serious. At least I hope not.

I based my prediction on comgnet charts and Amazon ranks so yeah, I'm completely serious.

For a Yakuza game on Vita I think a new Kenzan would be cool. I don't think it would be a good idea making Black Panther 3 the starting title, nor do I think Vita would receive an exclusive numbered entry.

Laguna, come on now. :p

[PS3] Armored Core V - 168.326
[3DS] Resident Evil Revelations - 183.042
[PSV] Tales of Innocence R - 39.470
[360] Armored Core V - 23.378
[PSP] Mobile Suit Gundam: Mokuba no Kiseki - 45.321
[PS3] The Idolmaster: Gravure 4 You! Vol. 4 - 21.211

This is not the case with 3DS. It can run most modern game design, most probably not the grander design and not with high polygons, but most of games are now possible. However, I wonder if at some point 3DS will also hit a wall, such as if a grander and more open world design will be possible for MH4 to match the concept they showed.

On the flipside, I thought one of the reasons the DS was successful against the PSP was a combination of better control input and a reliance on 2D graphics. Many were fine with 2D graphics and they go well with the novelty of the stylus input, just like (multi)touch and iOS games. Vita solves some major issues that the PSP had, primarily in the controls department.

Personally I'm a big fan of 3D display tech, and would actually consider a 3DS XL ... right now the screen is way to small for me, but Super Mario 3D Land is one of the very first Mario titles (along with Galaxy) that appeals to me, and have a son on his way to four who would probably enjoy it too (he likes Rayman Origins on PS3, though it helps that it is co-op friendly)

Until that XL comes though, Vita all the way ... :)

Port Kenzan (the original) to the Vita, release it in the west and I have my personal system seller.

Latest Famitsu stuff.

Launch-aligned, Mario Kart 7 passes up Mario Kart Wii to become top dog. Through this sixth week, it's about where MKDS was at six months.

Super Mario 3D Land passes Super Mario 64 DS's total. It's now only behind the original SM64, though as you can see in this image it's had a much bigger start.
1500

Monster Hunter 3G passes 1 million. Still behind Wii original, but launch-aligned it's really pulled ahead the last two weeks.

Wii Itadaki/Fortune Street is hanging out on the low end of the series with the last Enix pre-merger game and later PSP port of the PS2 FF/DQ game. However, it does look to have a bit better legs.

Itadaki Street recovered a bit from its shitty opening but it still performed like shit compared to other casual games on the Wii... I wonder why it did so bad.

This one is the real surpise bomba of the year. ISWii had all the ingredients right for success, I expected it to literally sell 2-3x what it has.

Not content with poisoning the Final Fantasy brand, Square Enix are in the process of torpedoing Dragon Quest with sketchy-looking 3DS games and a subscription-MMO for a sinking console.

I find it quite ironic that a Sonyfan is "begging" for support from Sega to "save" a Playstation system that´s all I´m saying.
Yeah, i got the joke, i just had to joke a bit back hence the ":p" =) But hey, Sega has some pretty popular IPs in Japan, so their support would be of good help :)

So Vita is neither getting the SD Resident Evil games (Revelations, Mercenaries) nor the HD ones (Raccoon City, RE6). So much for the potential japanese support...

The only problem I see with many titles is that it feels a bit laborious to guess for a bunch of games. But if that's just me being lazy (which I am), we can go for everything.

Haha I understand you. Maybe the 3 first you posted plus Gundam would be enough :)

About this, now I understand why Capcom doesn't expect to ship 1 million of Revelations units in Q1. They already have 6 to cover them XD

Oh, do you think this announcement could weaken quite a bit Revelations' performance not at launch, but through time? Still, this isn't a RE4 like scenario absolutely, obvious...

If all DLC came tied to $13 figurines, I'd consider all DLC to be free
So Vita is neither getting the SD Resident Evil games (Revelations, Mercenaries) nor the HD ones (Raccoon City, RE6). So much for the potential japanese support...

I dont think Vita can handle games like RE 6 - some games are easier to port on Vita than others, but its not a "one-klick" operation to convert titles which are pushing the limit of HD consoles to Vita - thats why i dont expect games like RE6, GTA V and Co. to get Vita versions.

Sports title or Beat Em Ups are way easier to port, since they feature less geometry and smaller areas.

No, it really can't. There will not be a single 3DS game that will look better than say, Super Mario Galaxy 2 or Skyward Sword, sorry. Revelations doesn't even come close and that's the best looking game that we know of.

I disagree, you speak with such certainty.

Are you speaking technically or graphically? Because 3DS has a lot in it's favour such as better graphics card and lower resolution makes it easier to render things, so Revelations does look as good if not better than Wii games, just at a lower resolution (even in 3D). But then 3DS also has a problem as it has to render most things in 3D to look good in 3D, i.e. not like cardboard, so a lot of polygons wasted on things that normally wouldn't matter.

Skyward Sword looks good but not exactly out of 3DS league...

(yes I realise Tri G is a port of a Wii game, and turned out almost identical as the Wii game)

About this, now I understand why Capcom doesn't expect to ship 1 million of Revelations units in Q1. They already have 6 to cover them XD

Wait for the first week numbers (RE:R) to start the damage control engine, Mr. Comgnet ;P
