No, I'm not completely and utterly wrong. I've lost people too. It doesn't have to be a child, If i felt like I could forgive someone for killing my aunt I'd feel disgusted with myself.

I don't think I have any unique condolences or insights and certainly her and her family do not need my particular take, so I'm not going to drop my two cents into every thread about this. But I want to say that I grew up in sort of a progressive Christian church and philosophy like it seems like she has, and I am inspired by her, and I am inspired by her parents.

And I am inspired and moved by their philosophy of empathy and forgiveness.

I would be thrilled to see a memorial, or a statue, or whatever the family and city feels is appropriate.
