Yeah, but maybe if this indies collection sell well (which i doubt) there is a chance for proper sequel..
Nidhogg fencing level.

How do the original games hold up? I've always been interested, but never played them.
I'm getting a feeling that this is coming out earlier than we anticipate.
We need a remix for Travis Strikes Againpleather for breakfast
People have been ignoring clear words such as "plays like the cult classic series" so I highly doubt we've seen the last of it..So this should shut the not full fledged sequel crowd up right?

I love the NMH series and Suda'a work, but Travis Strikes Again sounds like a celebration of indie games rather than a celebration of NMH, not interested.

Same hereI think I would certainly purchase a Travis amiibo.
Putting a bet down one of the titles will be Rocket League for some kind of driving level, what with all the motorcycle stuff in the first game.
Plus you could put Travis's bike in RL as a cross-promo.
So the boss would be what, a car? I can't really see it.
If you want to include a weird genre how about Thumper?

Literally just had the same thought - 3D action fighting in the Thumper universe with Travis and a Masafumi Takada remix of Thumper music would be DOPE
And yeah, I can see Rocket League having some kind of big car mech as a boss.
Hotline Miami and Shovel Knight worlds will both be in this along with 4 others, much like Kingdom Hearts. As for Hotline Miami not being on Switch, I'm sure it will be soon. Suda51 is making this happen so I guess it doesn't matter if the source material is on Switch but it would certainly be nice.Übermatik;247582076 said:So this possibly has a Hotline Miami themed stage even though HM wasn't on a Nintendo system (right?) How come?
Is HM coming to Switch?

As much as I love Shovel Knight, can we stop putting him in every indie game out there?
They're not putting him in any indie game. They're putting Travis into his game. 😁As much as I love Shovel Knight, can we stop putting him in every indie game out there?

No, we can't. Deal with it.
I think the reason it's indie games is because Suda himself has said he always has felt more like an independent game creator, and indeed he got started years ago by doing things differently which caught attention in games where he was assigned to odd roles, famously having his break for writing a surprisingly deep story for a wrestling game, then making niche cult hits like the Twilight Syndrome series and Silver Case, becoming far more known for bizarre games like Killer7 and No More Heroes... I think he lost some motivation which is why he hasn't directly directed anything since the original No More Heroes because he wasn't big on the bigger game development scene, he's always seemed more interested in being more free to create his own bizarre things rather than rise in the ranks and be assigned to bigger projects. However, if you listen to him talk about him and gaming in recent years almost all of his favorite games of the last several years have been indie game titles, and I think the reason why he's back to direct and No More Heroes in the form of it being in some ways a celebration of indie games is because he's been loving the indie game scene himself and found himself motivated to do something in that space. I'm guessing the reason for his return and the first thing he's doing is something No More Heroes related again is to show he's back, he's working on something he loves, and to give the whole indie scene he's been loving a chance to be part of a project of his I think he finds fun to direct.
It's just my theory, not directly said, but I think him not directing anything for 10 years, his expressed love of the indie game scene, the sorts of things he did direct when he was directing, and what No More Heroes: Travis Strikes Again turned out to be are all very telling.
I'm just amazed at the idea of No More Heroes turning into its own pseudo, stylish, and more violent take of something a bit like Kingdom Hearts but for indie video games.
It's the sequel and future of No More Heroes, deal with it.
Yeah, but maybe if this indies collection sell well (which i doubt) there is a chance for proper sequel..
I don't believe you.Would genuinely be a lot more interested in a conventional sequel, so I'll wait and see on this one. If Suda's making the games he wants to though, good on him.

Hotline Miami is made using Game Maker. That engine isn't compatible with Switch yet.

How do you post in a thread about new information without reading the first few words in the OP?
Considering the history of the series, Fire Pro makes wayyyyy too much sense to be one of the levels.
So possibly:
- Hotline Miami
- Shovel Knight
- Fire Pro
- Danganronpa (a man can dream)
My only concern is that the game might be short.
