Main Thread: Official Call of Duty 4: Modern Warfare Thread

The point of this thread is to collect information for GAFers to get together and play what is expected to be the best multiplayer FPS this year and maybe even ever. I decided to make this thread a combined one for all the respective platforms so there isn't much trouble finding information in the OP, although discussion could get muddled, but I think it should be fine. I am working on both the SP and MP threads, so expect some more MP related information here specifically like interviews and other things related to MP.

If you are hosting a server and want to share it with GAF please list it here with the appropriate details such as IP address and port as well as the password if one is used.

For the PS3 and 360 Gamertag lists, please format them appropriately as it will expedite the process of updating the OP in the future. If you do not follow the instructed format I will not put your information in the OP. Thank you in advance.
Edit: Please add PS3 or 360 to your post before your gamertag.

Don't know if I'll get it right away...I might. Been busy with classes, work, Halo 3 and Orange Box and another shooter will split my time even more. But I loved the CoD4 Beta and I'll probably have CoD4 within a week of release if not right away.

Well too bad there arent stats like in Halo, I could just keep an rss feed of all your matches. Haha.

True. I've been spoiled by bungie.net stats. Being able to check every single game, see my total kills and K/D ratio, how many kills I have with each weapon and every medal I've gotten.

Every game should have this kind of stat tracking

No doubt, specially if they want to foster a community like bungies. Its all those secondary things that make people keep coming back to halo in the end. At least in the long term. Though I cant wait to see what cod4 is like retail, we just got a taste in the beta.

Yeah, in the beta I was able to check my total kills, K/D, highest spree ever etc. in the game (though not on a site) so I'm pretty hopeful.

Guys guys. We don't need stat tracking. I mean unless we're just going over the Tactical modes of play. Down with deathmatch...

Well you are a member, as far as I know you can make threads. But if you want, I could incorporate that into here somehow, PM me if you want to incorporate it into this thread or whatever.

Id rather keep this thread to GT and multiplayer discussions for all versions. I'd make a 360 thread, but it'll look like ass compared to the PS3, especially since it has awesome looking banners. Hence why I asked for people with thread making skillz.

Nice. Overkill looks pretty useful. Do we have a complete list of Perks at the moment? This is what I've read, but it may not be up to date:

Perk 1:
* Bomb Squad (detect placed C4 charges)
* C4 x 2
* Claymore x 2
* RPG-7 x 2
* Special Grenades x 3
* Frag x 3
* Bandolier (adds more ammo to your clip)

Perk 2:
* Juggernaut(More Health)
* Sleight of hand(Reload quicker)
* Stopping power(More weapon damage)
* UAV Jammer(Jams enemy radar)
* Sonic Boom (Bigger explosions)
* Double Tap (increased rate of fire)
* Overkill (carry two primary weapons, no pistol)

Perk 3:
* Extreme conditioning(Sprint longer)
* Steady Aim(Steadier aiming)
* Last Stand(Shoot your pistol while dying)
* Deep Impact(Better bullet penetration through walls)
* Dead Silence(Less noise when running)
* Iron Lungs(Hold breath longer when sniping)
* Eavesdrop(Allows you to listen in on enemy chat)
* Martyrdom(While dying, player pulls a grenade)

FFA is the worst (although good for practicing). Team Deathmatch is still lame. I like tactical. Talking. Planning. Planting ma uber C4 to blow some enemy up.
