What happened to the days when we reveled in the fact that games like Mortal Kombat, Doom and GTA pushed it too far? It used to be a badge of honor.

Jesus christ if these guys had their way everything would be sunshine and roses.

This is a CREATIVE medium. Sometimes things are dark. So fucking what? If you want bright and cheery go play Mario (this is coming from a guy who's favorite gaming franchise is Mario).

Man, Dave Chapelle was right - the world turned into a bunch off bitch-ass ni***s.

It's gallows humor. And you know these people have played GTA 4 and 5. Hell GTA 5 not only jokes about this and worse, it has an elaborate commercial and radio ad celebrating a man's descent into reckless alcoholic behavior

(get drunk drive off a pier
Pisswasser, this is beer!
It makes your troubles go-away-oh yeeeeaahheeaaaa!).

The fucking SJW fuckers never fail to amuse me with their new low.

They can't understand the game is depicting a fucked up dystopia world with excessive violent suggestion. The thing is supposed to be offensive to let you know it is bad.

They shouldn't play games, they just need to go fucking back to primary school to get reeducated.

It's a dystopian future where there are no longer any taboos. Ads and TV shows openly have explicit sex of any kind. Drugs are legal and encouraged. Suicide is used for marketing. Body modifications and exoskeleton upgrades are legal and perfectly accepted by the society. Corporations became so fucking powerful that they run everything, from news programs to politics.

It's not meant to be a reflection on today's society, not directly at least - it obviously exaggerates today's issues, proposing a "what if" future where things that kinda exist today are brought to extremes. It's a dystopian game, one for adults no less. If this is offensive, if the Mix It Up ad is offensive, then you gotta deal with the fact that the game is offensive towards everyone, because we have white, black, Asian, disabled, woman, man, trans, rich, poor, criminal, honest, all "mocked" by this dystopian future. Just like it happens in all futuristic media like this.

Real talk.

I feel like that image almost everyday since late September. I've even been in 72 hour suicide watch in the past.

This doesn't offend me in the slightest.

Fuck, I'm a pretty "sensitive" person and I have more of a backbone than these Kellogg's Frosted Flakes.

I haven't read anything you just wrote and I just want to know if your avatar is from The Birthday Massacre.

That's because you're a fighter, not a whiner. Anyone who thinks this photo is offensive is a fucking moron.

Basically:
"If i have mental issue and/or i am sensitive to certain content , i don't wanna see it in my game/movie/any creative art".

No motherfuckers, that's not how it works. You don't get to censor things cause you can't take it.

The world doesn't revolve around you.

Possible, reasonable solutions are:

1) don't buy or stop using that content
2) get a bag of tissue and move on
3) if you can't even take adult/harsh content in fictional media, you should probably consider ending your existence or getting out of society.

everything is taken literally these days. Jonathan Swift would have been banned for A Modest Proposal. it didn't have a giant neon "SATIRE" printed on it. it didn't have a disclaimer.

so fucking sick of the over touchy censorship of the left. this is art. it is satirical. it depicts a hyper violent dystopia. are we saying we can't have violence in our hyper violent fantasy dystopias?

snowflakes need to get over their feelings. this is a mature R rated game. grow the fuck up.

You're jewish Prinny? Holy fuck, there must not be a lot of weeb jews, is there?
I'm sure there's quite a few weeb heebs.

I knew a (really cute) Orthodox Jewish girl who read those Japanese romance manga comics (forgot what they're called) and played some anime mobile game where you can dress your character up and all and get votes from people.

This must be a devs experience, can't imagine what it must have been like to know what was coming and the stress of that.

People watch the Saw series which is pretty much Murder porn but want to nit pick about videogames?

Get the fuck outta here. Many people are way too sensitive. Grow some balls or a big muff!

Hell. When it comes to video games, it was a German Jew, Ralph Baer, who is considered the "father of video games" lulz.

The founder of Japanese gaming company Taito was also Jewish.

The offensive photo. — So people on Twitter are asking the developers to remove this photo. Does anyone find it offensive?
That's really dark humor and I kinda scoffed at it in a "What the fuck" sort of way, so I think they were pretty effective in portraying advertisements in a Cyberpunk world as extraordinarily predatory and exploitative of serious issues of what people go through. In other words, twitter is missing the point.

Man us weebs truly have infiltrated everywhere, we're a cross culture phenomenon driven only by anime tiddies and Falcom games :messenger_beermugs:

There will literally always be someone that finds literally anything that exists "offensive".

I don't even frankly understand what "offensive" is ? Do people actually get "offended" about stuff ?

Basically anything that anyone considers uncomfortable or hard to watch or experience is now "offensive in 2020 ? It also seems being uncomfortable causes some people physical, emotional and mental trauma... Because reality is apparently quite fragile and anything too "real" for people will apparently break them.

Why should nothing in existence be uncomfortable ? Why are people nowadays unable to cope with things that are "uncomfortable" to watch ?

Is it normal for a society to define what is "uncomfortable", what is in "good or bad taste" ? Is it normal to be "offended" and use that negative emotion to control entertainment, society and humanity into not being able to express ideas and emotions that are "painful to watch and experience" ? Do we want that watered down reality where everything is tame, muted and where nothing is allowed to be unconfortable to watch ?

Hope the awnser is no, and that people will stop this slippery slope of the politically correct, nothing offensive to anyone "entertainment" that some far left is now embracing. People need to remember the freedoms people used to have, freedom to talk , to challenge ideas and norms and to create discomfort... That we went from the hippies of the 60s to this world where anythign that'soffensive to anyone goes against decency and must be abolished is frankly scary.
