Nothing remotely possible is going to be possible before holiday 2014, that's when a sony employee supposedly said the update for media files and other stuff drops and even then it seems like a stretch.
I guessed as much. Hopefully sooner rather than later.
Who the hell wants to add shirts, emblems, stadiums etc manually on the console versions!?
Back then it was fun. Not anymore. At least for me when one got a job or school to attend.
And you seem to really have something against FIFA. Relax, both games are good games.

Maybe, it was the "official" football game. But, I bet the margin wasn't as big.
PES has the FIFPro ("world players' union") license which allows them to use the real names and likenesses of players in "all" local member associations. The English member association is fine with it, the German one (through the legal case fought by Oliver Kahn years ago) isn't. The Bundesliga completely sold out to EA (with their site regularly featuring their crap match result "simulations"), licensing single clubs is still possible but even those mostly (except for Bayern) sold out to EA for some match day in stadium EA FIFA game areas.

Anybody who knows football will understand just fine.
FIFA is getting boring year after year, players model look like sh#t, the pace/flow in game is nothing near to a real football match up, yeah game modes are cool, yeah licences but EA is just making money without improving this game, oh corner + head = goal, oh L1+Triangle = fucking unreal pass no matter if your player don't look where is the one receiving the ball... Core gameplay is in PES favour.

Both with playmaker controls and traditional controls (with PES6 gameplay as the base)
PES15 was going to be a deciding factor on if I get the PS4, but if they can't have modifiable files, then I'll just stick with a PC. This same type of thing happened with All Pro Football 2k8, with the PS3 having non-modifiable files. Every non licensed game needs as many options as possible.

For all the reasons to get a PS4, PES2015 is not one of them.
There are countless great exclusives. PES is always superior on PC in my experience.
TIL I don't know football.
But PES won't get the next gen treatment on PC this year.

Just so you know, most goals IRL come from set pieces and counter attacks.
The L1+Y has not been really powerful ever since fifa 10.
PES is simply an arcade game, shots from outside the box are 60% of all goals, those players look like robots and there is NO physical contacts.
I am not saying PES should fold, because competition is good for anybody. I wish PES would find its niche, like a story mode they had in 2K14 or sth.
Well, I was trying to decide if I wanted a PS4 and have a small list of games that would put me over. MGSV is now on PC, so that's gone, but PES on PC was supposed to not have the same amount of animations or something, so I was going to wait and see the reviews, to see the difference between PC and PS4. But if you can't modify files, it's a nonstarter, and PES is no longer a reason to get a PS4. Now all I have left is Tomorrow Children, really.
This is like...the biggest bummer.
I'm still interested to see what "hybrid version" will mean for the PC port. If PES2015 gets the gameplay right and its intact for the PC version then I would still favour that due to the modding possibilities.
Yes, PES2014 is also made with the FoxEngine.

I disagree, still prefer PES2013. I hope PES2015 is good because i hated 2014 gameplay...
I am really woried about the lack of news about the edition modes, it seems that the game was probably delayed until November so they had more time to find a solution about file sharing on PS4/XBO. I really hope they can manage to make it possible before the game is released.

If they weren't half as broken as they are in 14 then it would be an infinitely better game to play.
Getting back to Pro Evo, I'll hold judgment until I've played the demo. Been burned way too many times hyping up recent games just to ultimately be let down upon release.
The OF situation is a bummer but in no way is it a dealbreaker for me. Gameplay always comes first.

The bolded is true..but it is something that can you can actually defend against with a little practice.
1) L1+Triangle is overused, and work weeeeeell, don't know if you have luck but on PS3 or PC it's a no brainer move, it's the kind of think that make me angry.
2) GKs are fucking dumb, d u m b
3) If players looks like robot in PES, you shouldn't be able to talk, animations in FIFA are awful, not saying every of them but c'mon just look at the celebrations, C3PO do a better job.
4) Goal come from passes, controlling the pace, rush from the sides, counter attack, personal exploit, steal, and modern football change a bit I most people don't try to shoot outside the box but back in the day that was pretty common.
5) PES physics is very so-so, but interactions between players in FIFA are not fair, sometimes biased. It's hard to find a good physic model.
PES core gameplay looks better, FIFA looks better overall
Konami is not very supporting PES, EA is aware of that.

Glad that OF's for the X1 are still on, I tend to alternate between FIFA and PES each year and PES is up.

Maybe their motion-capture/animation department is trying, the rest of the devs not so much, game is nothing like the real deal.

Been playing FIFA since 09, the High Through Ball was the worst in 10, then EA Sports made it harder and harder to hit that "Hail Mary Pass" to Drogba/Zlatan etc.
Players in Seasons (mostly rookies, cheesers) simply hit those balls more often than they happen IRL, and they tend to play "Attacking" Preset, which leaves them exposed to those balls + they take teams and players (CR7; Robben; Alexis) that are really good at fielding those passes.
So you see alot of kick n rush games Barca-Real in the lower leagues 10 to 6.
Sucks but any MP game has "those kind of" players.
If you play agoinst CPU or skilled players who know tactics and defense, you will not see them often.
So you have to distinguish between Bug and exploit tactics by players.
L1+Y/Triangle is like the noob tube of FIFA not an issue with the game.
