I didn't think Trump would be the nominee, but only because I thought he'd eventually do something disqualifying and the RNC would take it from him.

But not because of the level of his support. Focusing only on that, it was obvious from very early on who Republican voters wanted.

I feel the only people who thought otherwise are "Proper Republicans" who just didn't want to believe, or thought they could still plausibly deny, that this was the vote the Republicans had courted and cultivated for the last few decades.

For me it was mostly based on the endorsement primary and his connections. "His father and brother are pretty charismatic, so he will be too" was my reasoning. I hadn't actually watched him speak, which may have changed my mind because he does look... pathetic.

I think it's settled.

If I'm seeing things clearly, Bernie came out with 1 more delegate than he went in with. All it means in scenarios like this is that HRC delegates need to make sure they make it there. Can't take it for granted I guess.

Back last year when this primary first started I talked to this guy I know who's in change of this coke bottling company in Vermont, and in conversation Bernie came up and the second someone mentioned him he rolled his eyes and said " ugh I can't stand that guy".
