Having to open your console is bad especially for a person/family that is not tech savy.
But that really bothers me is the situation of upgrading space after you fill up your hard drive with games. What is the process? Is it as simple as plugging in a usb drive and going about your gaming? Ofcourse not, so what is the process?
You don't have to be Tech savvy, everything slides off, and only one screw needs to be removed. It's practically as easy as turning the thing on.
The ability to use non proprietary hard drives with the Ps4 (And I believe also externally with the Wii U? Not sure about the 'Bone) Is probably one of the best features this gen of consoles has to offer.
