Nothing much changed from last year in the gaming area. New addition this year is the office/pc area and my gaming headphone setup... Everything you see was created on my own from bare white walls.

And the headphones which are Denon D2000. I made the wooden cups myself out of zebrawood on a lathe. The stock ones were grey plastic. ALso recabled them with upgraded cable. With the right headphone amplifier these sound AMAZING. I enjoy gaming with them on as much as I do using the home theater.

You're more proof that it's not about how much you spend to get a great setup, but what you spend it on. Looking at these types of setups makes me anxious to unveil my gameroom in all it's glory.

I agree, can't stand how many lights most pieces of equipment have these days. I have 0 light coming from mine now.

Actually that's not strictly true—there's a red LED that comes on when my amp is muted, I've left that one uncovered.

Honestly the theater cost me about 4K total. That includes the electronics (minus the speakers), seating, lighting, drywall, etc.

It's been awhile since I posted an update on my setup so I thought I would. Still haven't purchased a suitable surround sound setup but there's a fantastic 2.1 Sony Soundbar I've been eyeing. Anyhow, without further ado...

Where the magic happens.

The systems and controllers. The guitar with the nice sticker job is my soon to be wife's. Mine is the one with random hot mess everywhere. And she's practicing for our wedding (next Saturday... no first dance, we do first Guitar Heroing).

My strategy for minimizing the dust problem is just to keep the lights low enough that you can't actually see it. Then again, I'm a lazy slob so your mileage may vary.

It's an Omnimount Moda Echo 63: http://www.omnimount.com/consumer/product.aspx?ProductId=878f1886-7247-4415-9bf3-d131122caacb&CurrentId=5.3.3. The TV is a 42" LG LCD. I was looking for a stand like that for a while before I finally found it. I'm quite satisfied with it.

There was a time that I could have easily outdone you collection wise, but I've sold off so much stuff at this point that my collection is only a fraction of what it was. Looking at your photos, I'm so conflicted: on one hand, I really miss having the crazy collection that I used to have. On the other, it makes me think about how much I've spent on games in my life, and how worthless it all kind of seems.
