You know them better than I do. You pick and tell me which episodes to watch. I'll look into it after at some point I'm caught up with Yuru Yuri.

I see you like moe, so I would recommend magi it's similar to one piece with mix of shamenking for the power abilities.

It has moe girls & boys so I think it would be the more suitable one to recommend you.

the anime not out yet but go read the manga.

One Piece Movie 4

That was pretty fun. Nowhere near the total package like the sixth movie but still a good adventure. Thanks to those who brought it up.

the movie has a lot of references, ties and fan goodies related to the anime/manga series so you miss out on them and there meaning, I don't think it's a movie to watch without having watched or read up to alabasta arc, all round it's better movie then 6.

I would say watch movie 2 it's short 50min fun silly movie, you don't need to have watched the tv anime, but if you never plan on watching the anime I would tell you to watch movie 9.

it's a shame you wouldn't watch the tv serise or read the manga cause the movies don't do the source material justice since all of them are considerable weaker.

Hunter x Hunter, Blue Exorcist, Busou Renkin, Kenshin, Yu Yu Hakusho, D.Gray Man, Groove Adventure Rave, Law of Ueki, Soul Eater, Tokyo Underground, Toriko.

Take your pick.
BLue Exorcist is the best choice among those, even just half of it since its canon and actually looks the best visually, and it has solid ops and eds wired life and ready ready ready for the take off!. Do people not like shounen action, what were the reasons?

Ronald McDonald?

D...DVD? What is this archaic technology? Are you saying some companies still release contend as DVD only? Return to your cave sir.
Such a massive shame about what happened to the UK FMA:B BDs

I will fight the digital revolution with ever fiber of my...wallet.
Give my Dvds and blurays and get off my lawn.

Please watch the ninth movie. It's an alternate retelling of an arc from the show and it's my favorite OP movie, right up there with the sixth one.

Despite being a super cheap episode (so many stills!) I like how they use the stills for comic effect (while also highlighting the parallels between
Akio and Touga
).

The ending where
Nanami discovers Akio and Anthy at it on the couch
is beautifully done. Very reminiscent of the movie, in fact.
Love the final image of Anthy's hair spreading behind her, so reminiscent of her summoning the Sword of Dios
.

It's unfortunate that Nanami is the worst of the main characters - I like her comedy episodes, but because she's a comic figure it means that the other characters in her stories like Tsuwabuki and her groupies don't give her anything to "bounce off", and when she's treated seriously there's nowhere to go other than treading the same old ground. Given how little time the show spends with Saionji (because most of his story is about Touga) I'm surprised Nanami gets so much serious screen time in contrast.

So, when does it get pornographic? How's the acting, the plot?

Not too far in.

Poor acting and lesbian sex aside, it's at least somewhat faithful to the show.

Gintama ep25

whaaatt a gintama episode that passes as being funny NaNi???? BaKaNa!!!!!!! Impossible

Just as I had lost the will to go on, as I wallowed in the pit of boredom with no end in sight to these filler hell episodes there came down a shining beacon of hope(this episode) and it told to stay strong, not to give up as it graced me with the precious gift of amusement.

death note parody episode captured the silliness of death note with added your usual great gintama dialogue.

first 24 episode of gintama had me passing out from boredom
rhLyI.gif

It's all so very very boring I would much rather watch double the amount of bleach filler episodes, it's not quite as bad as naruto filler but it's nothing to proud about when your canon is filler hell quality.

This episode was great, I hope theres more of these to make up for the 24 episode before.

You've survived the initial ass spanking.

Now onward my friend, onward.

Edit:

Episodes 1-24 seem to have a good range of opinions. Some, such as I, actually did find them amusing. One thing that near (maybe all) people agree on is the steady increase of quality from episode 25 and onwards.

Damp squib of a duel this time round, alas. Appropriate, given the thunderstorm we're currently having.

Is Nanami disgusted by herself? Obviously her reaction to Anthy and Akio is hypocritical, but I'm not sure quite why she decides to duel Utena. I suppose that if she is Anthy's "master" then she has technically conquered herself and taken ownership of how she truly feels, but that's not how she presents herself during the duel.

Perhaps what she comes to realise is that her familial love for Touga is more important than any kind of romantic love - and when she loses, she thinks she has neither. Of course, the bastard scriptwriters cut away when she's about tell us what she really wants. I also thought this contradicted the Shadow Girls sequence - my interpretation of that was that Nanami needs to stop denying she wants to shag Touga!

Natsuyuki - Ep7-8

Man, this arc is really being drawn out. It's slow, painful, and depressing. The realistic touch which Kou Matsuo brings to his productions is overbearing here, because I can totally relate with the emotions but it's just so painful. The level of selfishness and unwillingness to let go really kills any sympathy I have for Shimao. Good thing there are only 3 episodes left. I might be able to finish this series without cutting myself! Feels... bad man. :(

Totally agree. (Editing complete!)

Man, I can't believe I left that "makes" in there after I edited the sentence. I totally need an editor. Lol. I originally typed that it makes me want to kill him, but then I realized... HE'S ALREADY DEAD. :(

I'm ready for it to be over at this point--I actually like Shimao as a character and seeing him like this is really bitter and frustrating, which might be the point, but I don't like it because it makes me want to go cut some grass.

Kaoru is definitely the best by far, looking better than he usually does there. Definitely the best part to the soccer club maid cafe (getting even more attention than the girls, lol, poor Seven and Mai.

The play was amazing, loved Kakeru's acting for Romeo, and Araki was a hilarious Julieto.

When they were replaced for Mai and Seven, that was a really emotional scene for the end of the play, nice

[FMA:Brotherhood] - 46
This brief moment of Riza fanservice during the final montage just felt our of place and forced, like it fell from a different show. I know we've had 'shower scenes' before this, but they felt dumb too.

Also, whatever genius decided they should start playing the beginning of the ED track over the final moments of the episode should be shot. Especially when it's this really shitty sound electric guitar nonsense that has no tonal connection to the events on screen.

Just awful.

Given the standard wackyness/fanservice level we've come to expect from anime in general, I think FMA:B's is more than tolerable. Especially when you look at shit like this VVVVV

These guys are so much more useful in this than they ever were in Rave. Never thought I'd say those words, especially about a filler arc. Gas Butt Triple Ecstasy Fire Special!

I rest my case.

Genius. Of course it's a Hosoda episode. Probably the best recap ever? And he leaves out Nanami! Credit also to Yoji Enokido as the writing is also top notch - love the structure of the screenplay here.

Big block of spoiler text below:

So Juri is the only council member who gets a happy ending? Admittedly I've not got to Touga's final duel yet, but this episode serves as a good reminder that Saionji finally wakes up to the death of his friendship with Touga and Miki still doesn't yet seem to realise that what he's chasing after is long gone.

When I originally saw Miki's second duel I didn't understand why Kozue would deliberately make him lose, but I get it now. If Miki can stop trying to hold onto the past - symbolised, as ever, by The Sunlit Garden - and basically grow up, then he can move on. If he hadn't been put off by Kozue seducing Anthy i.e. the intrusion of the adult world upon the symbol of what he thought his childhood to be, not only could he have won but he could have moved towards a healthier relationship with Kozue and his family. |That's why Kozue calls him a coward - because she gets it.

And finally...
poor Utena. In a show that continually makes sex dangerous and disturbing I think this was the worst one yet - she knows something's wrong and yet... AAAAH!

Like I said, genius.

My first ever post in this thread, please be gentle!

Binbougami ga! 08

What was that? After 7 episodes of over the top stupid goodness they try to flesh out the character with a dark/serious episode - devoid of everything that actually made the first 7 episodes good. Hope this is only a temporary thing.

I dont understand, there were numerous dark serious moments in the past,
Keita's brother in the sewer, keita fallen broke bone, ep 1 with the butler and his heart

But those were counter-balanced by Sakura being the comic releif. This episode was different in that it had no comedy at all, and it's a comedy series (at least I thought it was).

Sucks at poetry
Cajun, since you don't appear to be in the chat, if you see this please advise if you approve of this design for the character to appear on your Seal of Cute.

Cajun_seal_design_v2.jpg

It's cute!

Ugh - I gotta finish this maid drawing so I can get back to work. WTF happened last night? I was playing Dark Souls and it was hilarious - so I tried to stream it to the chat, but I think I might have passed out trying to get the stream working.

Eureka Seven 31 - 35

Well when did Talho and Holland find time to
make babies?[/spoiler

Favorite episode of the mix was the one which gave us the glory of Nirvash Type 0 Spec 2, epic episode
especially the grandpa fake death moment and the board flying and such. Poor Anemone cant seem to score a win ever
.

35 was good too
Moondoggie piloting scenes, and such though Eureka was pretty dumb, did she only realize until now, 35 episodes in that people die in wartimes? Awkward time to get scared and break down, considering Rentons was way earlier and way much more interesting than hers was :(

Hopefully I can finish this up today.

Kokoro Connect 8

This was another really good episode. The emotional struggles throughout were very deftly handled, and the subtle use of music greatly contributed to it's effectiveness. Despite her diminished role in this episode, Inaba continues to be such a fantastic character.

Taichi and his "selfless freak" personality really managed to make things quite a bit worse in this episode, but, thankfully, Fujishima and Gotou gave him some much needed advice at the end. It seems, judging by the preview, that these rifts between everyone might start to mend a bit. Also, Heartseed shows up at Inaba's house, which is very intriguing.

This is definitely the best and most consistent show of the season.

Accel World 20

Bad arc in bad show is still bad.

And we have crying over food again and messy eating. Does no one eat food properly anymore?

Watase-kun and Taichi were really great, decent temporary trade off for Aoki,
I guess, even if temporary since they will definitely make up hopefully. I cant stand to see them both apart after that intense yelling moment. Didnt think Aoki felt that jealous over Taichi though, I guess anyone would after awhile.
.

I think the episode had one of the most intense scenes in this arc thus far.
Nagase getting hit by the bookbag from Taichi and then hitting that cabinet, that hurt so much, and all three yelling. :/
.

I think this arc has gotten to be good and just everyone needs to find what they want. Getting third parties to help move things along like Watase and class rep was a wise move.
