Were you playing Three team deathmatch? I think they just use your chosen free for all character in it.
Nope. Standard TDM. Kinda weird where each skin is irrelevant to which side. Saw it again.

My biggest issue with U3 MP has to be the maps. There is no sense of direction, I don't know where to look for enemies. Treat me like I'm five years old and tell me which areas are safe and which areas are not.
Also, the recoil feels...random. I feel like I can't compensate for the recoil because I don't know where to point my joystick. In my head I don't think that I will be able to get use my favorite gun to a point where I can say I have 'mastered' it. I won't be able to predict what it is going to do next, is what I'm trying to say. I understand that recoil is like that IRL, but in a game? Firing that M9 for the first couple of seconds feels like a rabid pit bull on a short leash, I can't handle nor direct it to where I want it to go.
The blind fire also feels inconsistent, one kill it can be very accurate and another I'll get 2 hit markers when I should get 5. But I guess that is what you get when you have a P2P network?
Agreed! Maps feel like they were constructed to fit within the Uncharted mechanics, not because they're good spawn layouts, flanking, etc. Everything feels so random.
I can't tell where enemies are coming from, where they're going or whatnot. And I've been playing FPS, and whatnot since I was a kid!
Speaking of which, recoil is janky too. AK doesn't feel different from the M9 in terms of recoil. Sometimes it goes sideways, sometimes up and down.

Yeah, I'm hardly playing the multiplayer because of that to be honest. I like things that are simple in multiplayer games. It tends to become a clusterfuck when they add loads of things and balance goes out the window as well. I wasn't happy when they added sprint, weapon mods, better weapons at higher levels etc. I'm sure people like all that stuff but I loved the way it was in the U2 beta multiplayer. It was simple, I knew what to do. I just had to remember where the power weapons were and it was fun. I'm getting UC3 because of SP too, I'll play the multiplayer too but I'm not going to take it very seriously, just mess around in it or something lol.
Yep. I played till I was about level 10. The game is just so messed up for me.
Character gets stuck in handholds and whatnot. Can't even count how many times I've died because my character didn't want to go down a platform which was friggin' 2 feet away.
Melee is weird. Gunning and then running at someone for a melee "love tap" seems to be the de-facto move to get kills. I mean, shooting is just so all over the place that long-range affairs are relatively nil.
Throwing grenades are fine, but throwing them with precision? Forget about it.
I've been playing with a lot of level 35's - which I assume is the level cap. They have better armaments and Perks by the boatload. It's one thing to reward long-time players, but really? Gimping the overall character and not just the gun?
Movement and controls need refinement as well. I can't even count how many times I wanted to jump in a certain direction and my character went another.
I might try playing again tomorrow, but things don't look promising. The game might not be my cup of tea, but it's one thing to think about that whenever I killed someone, I didn't know if it was luck or whatnot. Heck, I don't even know how many bullets are needed to kill someone as things are so janky.
Overall, the worst bit is the shooting. I had someone try it and they also commented that it takes too long to kill someone. Not to mention hitmarkers aren't done very well in the game. Normally, an "X" appears whenever you hit someone, but in the game, there's the crosshair which has a dot and you have to LOOK to see that X. Not easy when in the heat of battle and everyone is acting like monkeys with bullet-proof vests on.
Sorry to be a wet blanket for those who like the MP, just voicing my thoughts. I just don't get where Naughty Dog wants to go with the MP. Be like CoD? Be like Gears? Combination of all? It just feels convoluted, confusing, weird core mechanics and the gunplay is just wrong...for some reason I can't think of an adjective to describe it.
And you have all these treasures, medals, weapons, etc. popping up on-screen. Yeesh! Whatever happened to just letting the player play?
I'm still getting Uncharted 3...but for the SP. MP is just a mess. People will hate me for what I posted, but I'd rather play the co-op and let the competitive rot. That's why Call of Duty and Battlefield sell by the truckload. Say what you will of both games, but they do MP right.

R I'll try the MP again, but I'm not digging it. Too chaotic and trying too many things all at once. Great concept though.
