The biggest thing that pisses me off right now is the lousy feel of the weapons. I don't know if it is the recoil or ridiculously small hit boxes (or both), but in UC2 when I point a gun at someone and shoot, I hit them. And I can feel it when I make contact. In this game the guns are just too erratic for consistent mid/long range play. It's hard to make fine adjustments to your aim as well.jett said:EvangM is right when it comes to blindfiring, people need to STFU about it already. It's way toned down from the previous beta, and WAY toned down from how it was in UC2. In UC2 you could run around with your shotgun like a friggin' BEAST, and no matter where you pointed at the screen any guy near you would die from one blast. That doesn't quite work in UC3. Similarly, it only took ONE bullet from your handgun plus a single punch to kill people. People forget this.
I think the game is really enjoyable at the moment, and I have more than adjusted to the faster game speed. In fact I kind of like it. Reverting back to how it was in beta would be fucking stupid and piss off most of those who are currently playing(including me, even if I really liked the beta). More radical changes is not what the series needs.
They've implemented several changes to deter the rushers and I think it's working for now. I rarely have people kill me by rushing like a retard from a long distance, unless they catch me completely unawares. And the KAL-7 deaths I've got are from people using it from really close range, which is the whole purpose of the weapon.
There's things to complain about and then there's just being stubborn.

What I don't understand is that Hardcore is supposed to be them saying, "To those that preferred 1.04 U2: Here you go, play this." Only, it's NOTHING LIKE 1.04 U2 -- or ANY version of U2, for that matter!
You so silly ND.
Higher health? Was it that way in the beta. Maybe that's why people weren't dying. The beta, I kicked ass though.jett said:What do you want them, to get on their knees and grovel? Grow up.
Hardcore is exactly what it's advertised. The game with the extraneous features removed and higher health. It was never billed as Uncharted 2.

They are adjusting it little by little, next week will see more changes.AgentChris said:ND nailed it with the U2 Beta. Now they have constantly tinkered with every aspect of MP and have yet to get it right again. That being said I'm still having fun. My favorite mode is 2v2v2.
The summer of the Uncharted 2 beta was the most fun I ever had in a multiplayer game.
H_Prestige said:How much stopping power did the beta have? I just remember the running speed being a tad slower and it was really hard to turn when sprinting. I spent too much of my time in co-op to care about these details.
Eh you have people on the NG forums claiming NG is lying and they never added any stopping power at all.I know some people may not notice it but come on.jett said:I don't remember if it had any to begin with. Because of the slow speed(slower than UC2), it was never an issue.

RyanardoDaVinci said:The default mobility -- hell, even the default running animations -- need to go back to the speed of U2, maybe just slightly faster, and Sprint needs to be shit-canned.
But they'll never do it... just the way they never admitted 1.05 was a mistake.
Game needs auto aim, I said it multiple times In this thread.MoonsaultSlayer said:My one complaint since the beginning was the recoil. I'm playing on a ds3, give me some assistance ffs. BF and melee were just added salt in the wounds of my inability to aim. I, unlike others, was never able to adapt and come to grips with it. I also don't get to play as often as many of you. My seething comments were sleep deprived rants because I was only ever to play at odd times when sleeping would have been more beneficial. Not trying to dish out excuses, just setting it straight.
RyanardoDaVinci said:I just want one post on their forum saying, "Yeah, 1.05 wasn't a good idea. Sorry."
That's not too much.
"Hardcore" -- in every other game that has it -- usually implies that the health is lowered and/or weapons do more damage, the old "you have to be 'hardcore' to play it." ND's HC is exactly the opposite: higher health and weaker weapons/melee. There's nothing "hardcore" about it.
I don't care anyway, as I'll only play that mode to get the treasures found in it. It's just strange to me, is all.
I also seem to recall ND saying to complainers during the MP announcement, that if they didn't like how it played, "there's always the Hardcore playlist."
But maybe I'm misremembering, I don't know..

AwesomeSauce said:Game needs auto aim, I said it multiple times In this thread.
Adding increased recoil plus removing auto aim is a dumb combo. I understand no auto aim on pc games, but controllers especially need it. I bet its the reason a lot of people are complaining about aiming and hit boxes in this game.
Yeah they said they will keep adding some little by little until they hit the sweet spot.Thrakier said:No, I disagree. Springt gives the game another layer of dynamic. I'd miss it if it's gone. I also like it more than in the beta, because in the beta it barely made a difference, so it didn't make sense.
They could think abot slowing down the game by 5 to 10% but frankly, I'd just like them to up the stopping power just a tad more and I guess it would be fine then. Gears of War 3 is to Unreal Tournament as Uncharted 3 is to Modern Warfare 2.Thrakier said:No it's not. Unreal Tournament is a fast paced arcade shooter. UC3 is closer to something like UT than COD imo.
You so crazy.
gibration said:CoD is a fast paced arcade shooter. And stop comparing U3 to either UT or CoD, it plays nothing like any of them.
I agree. Just don't overdo it and it will be perfect. Although if they choose not to go this route, add more stopping power, por favor.jett said:I can attest to the fact that the M9 has auto-aim. The GMAL probably needs a bit more auto aim. Just a tad. They need to be careful with it, the two bursts come out so fast that if you buff it too much it will become unstoppable at all ranges.
FFA is awesome, it's personally one of my favorite modes.jett said:Hardcore mode had higher health then and now. For me hardcore is too much health, and you have to readjust your playstyle yet again, everyone familiar with Uncharted MP should know how important health is.But it is fun to play.
Actually, I think I like all the modes here, even free for all. In FFA it's just great to see two people in front of you going at it but it is you who gets the kill on both of them.
Darkatomz said:FFA is awesome, it's personally one of my favorite modes.
Hardcore I'm not a fan of... but I like to think of it as the mode to play to make you better overall as a player.
Anyways, I still think there needs to be more stopping power, despite ND's hesitation to add more.
Also... the Para is still too damn weak. And the T-Bolt STILL needs to reload faster.
Kidding me? It's like a 2.5sec reload for ONE bullet, and that's assuming you don't interrupt the actual reload.jett said:Hell naw.
