Different regions though? Otherwise it's just for system sharing with your cohabitants.
It's region free.

Now I can buy 2 expensive memory cards. Fucking Sony.
But I liked earning Japanese trophies with my US account. That's the real sad news for me.
Customers will be able to swap cards to use different PSN IDs on the same system, MacKenzie said. If you have more than one memory card, you can register a different PlayStation Network account on each.
You can also use them both on the same PSN account as well, she said.
I think there needs to be clarification on what "Reset to Factory Default" implies.
I'm still confused (my comprehension skills aren't working today).
Can I still play games and use DLC (and earn trophies) from account 2 on account 1 if I'm logged in on account 1 with account 2's memory card?
I really hope so.
Dude just buy physical games if you like trophies

Fantastic....
"Want to use PSN with the Vita? Buy a memory card. Want to use more than one PSN account with the Vita? Buy several memory cards. Want to play a lot of big games like Uncharted? Yes you need a memory card"
Vita was going to be a day 1 purchase but now I think I'm content with sitting back and seeing how this plays out... for a while. (I've been burned with buying a 3DS day 1... not going to happen again >_> )
It's like it's 1995 all over again.
I wonder if the third party ones will be unreliable and randomly wipe your saves from time to time.
Where was this confirmed?
Not factoring in price this is actually better then how the PSP does it.
Looks like Crystal has some more work to do. Resetting Vita to factory settings should not affect the memory card.
It's not so different than what Apple does, the only difference is that you can't see what the "base" price of an iPad with no storage is which obscures how overpriced the memory is...and it works well for them because I don't see that much bitching about that.me thinks that memory card prices subsidize the price of the VITA. More hooks to memory card dependance ..
Your PSN ID is bonded to your memory card and your memory card is bonded to your Vita, MacKenzie said. So if you wanted to change different PSN users but use the same memory card, you would need to go factory reset.
Your PSN ID is bonded to your memory card and your memory card is bonded to your Vita,
your memory card is bonded to your Vita
I really think that the multiple accounts problem is due to the lack of internal storage of the Vita. But it still should allow multiple accounts on a single card, because the current solution would not let me play my japanese bought games on my US account.
how big is Uncharted vita save or did I miss something
Wait, so it means that factory reset also format memory card?
Hold on, guys. What's this I see?
...wait, what? Is this the true white elephant in the room?

I think he means the actual download of the full game. I think it's like 4gb.how big is Uncharted vita save or did I miss something
Yeah, this seems nice if so.I actually think this method is kinda cool. Bring you mc to your friends vita, pop it in and voila. Its like ur in ur own vita. If it actually is that seamless

I don't know but it was confirmed that Uncharted will need a memory card and that games that require them won't start up without a memory card

I'm buying my games retail so I don't worry about it.
It says the card is tied to your Vita, probably through your PSN account. So by restoring factory defaults you'll clear PSN accounts and as a result, tied in memory cards.
It does *appear* to imply that. Which would be bizarre.
It also appears to imply that you *have* to do a factory reset to reinitialise a memory card.
It also appears to imply that you need a memory card to even *play* online.
It also appears to imply that you need to have saves or software *on* the same memory card your account is on; if need to save and realise that your card is full midgame, you can't just swap to your other card registered to a different region to get content saved out.
It also appears to imply that you can't just loan a memory card to a friend. Understandable for games... but for *saves*?
It also raises questions about the upgrade process - both how you go about upgrading your Vita (I assume it's possible to change a memory card to be assigned to a different Vita - but I don't like the talk about factory resets) and how you go about upgrading a memory card (Where do you put the data while transferring it, since you only have one card reader? Cloud storage?)
I suspect some of these are jumping to conclusions, but still: So many questions!
but Vita game are on cards right? like 3DS why cant they put it on them?

The Vita is just a ploy to sell memory cards.
There were no memory cards in the units at the mall. The weird thing about this is: There was a guy here on the boards that wanted to test his own account on the Vita while they were shown at the recent US mall tour. I don't remember if he did or if he just asked to use his account but the Sony guy at the show apparently said that it was no problem but that it would take some time, because he would have to reset the system to factory setting in order to use a different account. Now, I doubt the Sony guy would ever let anyone reset the device if it would delete all the demos off of it.
