That basement/closet moment is like one of the greatest just out of view things ever. And it goes back to the first season's ending.
I saw one theory posited that the reason Drew is seemingly so happy go lucky and nice and trying to get Ryan to do things is because he realizes Ryan (and Jenna) are...off. I kinda like that theory.
