Yes. What's also interesting is that AMD has aligned themselves with the consoles this gen whereas Nvidia is throwing it's weight behind steambox. Even more battle lines to be drawn!
Not as clear as AMD seems to be throwing their weight around SteamOS as well. At this point, they'll be foolish not to.

He has tried to buy himself a year claiming that the Xbox One won't run away from the PS4 in terms of performance until at least a year after launch because Microsoft wasn't ready to give away the awesome sauce to developers so soon.

So purposely gimp devs just because? Cool, that checks out.

I though AMD and nVidia both followed this similiar stuff too. I guess not.

Why do you think that?

Radeon 5xxx was 40nm, Radeon 6xxx was 32nm, Radeon 7xxx was 28nm, Radeon R9 will be 28nm.

Slow factory adoption of 20/22nm moved schedules for every of their clients..

Yes but the 5000/6000 were the same architecture (just refreshes), the 7000/8000 R9 are as well.

R5xxx used VLIW5 while high end R6xxx used VLIW4 based arch.

Radeon 6xxx was 40nm since TSMC scraped their 32nm process. Although since they had already designed VLIW4 architecture for 32nm (40nm design was backup) they were able to use it in Trinity/Richland.

Welp, here's hoping for some interesting news. Let down by the Valve announcement earlier so maybe something even a little exciting here would be nice.
