Here's a shocking start to 2017 - Go Go Kokopolo 3D (announced back in 2012!) has finally had some screenshots revealed:

Here's to hoping for a decent output for the VC once the Switch is released.

I got AA6 on sale last month, but aside from that, there hasn't been much to look forward to or hope goes on sale.

I'm really curious what the Switch VC is going to be like. LKD has said we'll have 3 GameCube titles at launch...and that's great (if it happens), but I want to know how NES/SNES/N64 will work. I've put a lot of money into these (twice) and want to keep them. LKD said that there will be an upgrade similar to the Wii U set up and I'm totally fine with that...

I just want that information, and I really hope these titles are available fast.

It would be amazing if the SSB GCN converter worked on the Switch so you could use the GCN controller on the VC titles, not to mention it'd give the device more of an use.

But yeah, it'll be interesting to see if they make you pay an "upgrade fee" again like with the Wii U VC & if they'll change any of the pricing. Not to mention how much GCN titles will cost (guessing around $15ish).

My expectations:
  • No change in pricing for NES, SNES, etc. games. They haven't between Wii, Wii U, and 3DS, so why start now?
  • $20 for Wii titles on Wii U (probably will not transfer to Switch, but we'll see), so $15 for GCN seems like a good shot!
  • Upgrade fee will be here to stay. Including if you already paid an upgrade fee to get it on Wii U. Wonder if they'll be an upgrade fee to go from Wii to Switch, if the Wii U version was never bought, or if they'd make you buy it at full price?

Virtual Console on Wii U
- Pokémon Snap – The Nintendo 64 cult classic is now on the Wii U console! Travel to Pokémon Island to embark on a safari and take the best possible in-game photographs of 63 different Pokémon. The island has many types of climates and environments to explore, along with secret activities and hidden passages to discover. Some of the Pokémon can be a little shy and won’t pose for the camera unless you tease them with special items. After you’re done, submit one picture of each Pokémon to Professor Oak, and he’ll judge it based on size, pose, technique and number of Pokémon captured. Can you snap the perfect shot?

So Nintendo's just given up on the eShop? Not even any sales? Seems dumb to hope for a themed sale from Nintendo on 3DS/Wii U with the Switch conference, but this is Nintendo we're talking about here. They have no limits!

Severed and OlliOlli are cross-buy. 3DS is the best platform for Severed btw.

This week. Thursday evening in the US. EU peeps will have it to watch first thing in the morning (4am I believe).

There's actually 3 European timezones, unless you count all of Russia then you can add 3 more (at least). The earliest for the Switch presentation is 4am for UK and Portugal, most of continental Europe will watch it at 5am, then the Eastern most parts (like Greece) at 6am.

I will die, trying to get up that early. It was nice knowing you all.

Nah not worth it.

They'll announce a new Megaman series game during Switch event.

Does anybody here use a small (less than 500gb) hard drive for the Wii U? If so which one? I don't want to get something too expensive.

Sorry. Didn't mean to slight the indie sales, but Nintendo used to run themed sales around characters, which was especially useful for VC games. (I've been openly hoping for VC sales since before Christmas, for reference.) They haven't done a themed VC sale in a long time. And then this last week's NOA PR consisted of one new VC game along with the standard one line on there being something on sale (not a themed sale, which is where VC stuff would most likely appear) and the "also releasing this week" section. Compared to past weeks even outside of the holidays, it's really, really barebones.

They did that once for Smash hype, iirc.

I know someone on here was keeping a list of theoretical VC releases for the WiiU in each territory, most likely out of date by now, anyone know what thread it was last posted? I honestly keep forgetting games Nintendo releases. First Majora's Mask, Mario Party 2, Pokemon Snap, and now F-Zero X. Every time someone posts the new VC game I say to myself, that wasn't already out? I imagine it's mostly N64, DS, and Wii left by now.
