What's wrong with it being on PSM? Only downside I could think of is lack of trophies.

Just called Sony about the $10 promo voucher. They said I didn't qualify because I had to have spent the money before the 18th. I bought Ground Zeroes on PS4 ($30) and FFX HD for $40. I thought it was supposed to be through the 18th, and that people who bought Infamous for $59.99 still got the code.
Oh well, it's just $10 but still kind of rubs me the wrong way.

Not really feeling Mercenary Kings. The controls are sluggish, hate the reloading mechanic.
I don't know, maybe when I get better weapons it will start to click.
Feels like a co-op game.

The first real mission seems way too hard (though I finished it). I guess you have to go back with upgraded gear.

I've been watching ChuckNyce's LS of it today (he's still playing) and it definitely is a game built for co-op. Your screen doesn't tether to other players and vice-versa, which encourages exploration and tackling multiple objectives all over those big maps. Looks really fun, tbh. 4P couch or online co-op.

You didn't seriously just give up when they said that did you? Be more authoritative. Go find your purchase times, right them down, and tell them that in the terms of the deal that it says "Spend $60 through March 18th" and state that in no part of the terms does it state a specific time. Don't let them get away with Time Zones either if you can help it. as long as it's before 9pm you should be good no matter where in the US you are, theoretically.
I called and got denied because I used my refund money from Dustforce on the deal. Which locked me out. Which is stupid. Whatever. Call them back and get your money.

Nah. The same game is on 3DS, and the Vita version looks way better.
I'm pretty sure it's because the MC's knees don't bend. So there's no transition or logical excuse for the delay. And it's totally a co-op game. Gonna try it with some buddies later.

I probably should, but I was going to purchase those games anyway at those times. Now, if I had made an effort to spend that money to make absolutely certain that I received the voucher, I would be a little more authoritative. But, as it stands, it's just $10 for things I would have gotten anyway. That and I had been on the phone for like a fucking hour.
You played both versions? 3DS screens makes games look bad.

Yeah I have them both. There's a big difference in shaders, textures, and lighting, in addition to the 3DS screen not doing it any justice.

Fair enough. For me, $10 is a lot when it comes to my gaming budget. To you, probably not worth the hour. I bought the Tearaway Soundtrack and Real Boxing. I don't regret either, but my purchasing flexibility is a bit screwed.
Btw, Real Boxing is a clean looking game. Completely lacking in effects but the Native-Res and stable framerate are much better than skin ripples or something. Also, the RingWomen look like walking maniquens with waterballons for breasts. And one of them always flickers behind the loser of the match. Like a clipping error they didn't notice. Or didn't feel like fixing.
And the Tearaway soundtrack is magic. Barnhouse PubStep, is what I describe it as. The pacing of the soundtrack itself is all over the place but put on shuffle, it's a good time.
It can look worse? =\ It definitely the worst looking Vita game I've played. There may be worse, but I haven't seen then.
Also, HOLY MOLY TRIALS IS $40 !! There goes that purchase. I swear, everyone is jacking up their games prices 50+ Percent for the new generation. But, it does have a Season Pass too. So that's nice.
Hmmmm, thanks for the info. Had to ask since good looking 3DS games look ugly in screens. Shame that there's a huge gap between 3DS and Vita.

I'm not saying that $10 is throwaway cash; you're absolutely right that it can make a significant impact in gaming budget, especially concerning DLC/discounts/etc. Chalk me up as a lazy, indifferent bastard, however.
Whoa, theres definitely a difference. Best way I can describe it is to compare it like an iOS game.

I tried it and doubt I will go back. Not really my cup of tea. It runs slowly and just doesn't seem fun to me. I greatly dislike the reload system and don't understand the need of a countdown timer.
Oh so they actually released that? Shame I was done with GTA5 months ago
Dude, it's totally coming to PS4, They would be stupid not to release it on the new systems. Plus they still have to do the PC port.

I'm convinced it makes no sense to make a PC version without releasing it on PS4/XB1, but I'm not gonna get excited until I see an announcement with screens.

Same here. The jump mechanics are certainly a little different but I adjusted quickly. The game is difficult, but not frustratingly so (at least this far). Also, soundtrack is amazing.
Have you considered buying a dinger instead of paying MSRP? I don't know what your financial situation looks like, but the savings might be worth the inconvenience for you.

It seems to run shitty in general on PS4. Which is ashame cause the PC version is pretty great.

How so? I played only for an hour, but nothing wrong caught my attention until now.
And about the timer: I failed the first mission by timeout because I got lost. yay.
Did you use the map?
Urgh, level timers, one of my pet peeves. If I want to take a long time, leave me the hell alone and just don't give me any bonus points.

Made an agreement with another GAF member, refused to honor it because he was broke, but then had no problem continuing to buy video games.
argh! still can't redeem my 1000 points in sony rewards! I thought it was an IP problem so I made a friend in the US try to get the card but he gets the " we cannot complete this transaction" error.

I'd be down for more Wild Arms- though I only played the third one. I think it could be a really good fit for the Vita.
as far as I can tell, the sony rewards site is complete shit. the $5 cards have been "sold out" every time I check >_<
maybe (if you have them) try disabling any and all ad block+no-script or using a browser where that stuff isn't installed?
