i dont understand some things, the order get trashed to death and this gets praised to death ?

Both games look to have the same strenghts and the same problems.

Both looking great
Both barely have gameplay.
both have meh shortting gameplay mechanics.

i saw 16 minutes of a dude wakling and climbing shit and most of the time not gameplay , i remember seeing some shooting in a video looking like this but this one i skipped that part, shooting and freezing with the power was meh to watch.

It has the appearance of something new, even though when you dissect what you've just seen you realise it hasn't really done anything new from a gameplay perspective. It's a visceral experience which may well be enough to hold it together.
Isn't the case for most AAA games today where content and presentation is the true differentiator rather than design? Seems like it to me, anyway, with so many games simply digging in the ashes of recent successes and refining what's already been made before...usually many times before. A bit like everyone competing to make the best pizza or best burger or whatever. Sometimes it's a mashup, sometimes it's a resurrection of older designs, but it's usually familiar when it comes down to it.

Moderately worried by the number of breaks in the gameplay flow to show destructive things happening. Otherwise excited.

As a ps4 owner, and no I'm not port begging, this is the first x1 game that puts that system in the 'eventually will own' category for me. I'm predominantly a single player gamer and this look too good to miss!

Maybe I can score an x1 on the cheap during the holiday.

A leaked ad shows Xbox One for $350 at K-Mart (starting around Nov 9th), don't know which country you live in though: http://www.gamespot.com/articles/350-xbox-one-deal-at-kmart-next-month-report/1100-6423144/

Yeah, I was thinking about the same thing earlier.

Still hyped for both though.

I never thought I'd say this about a Remedy game, but I thought the gunplay was boring. Maybe it's how overpowered the main character seems in the video and it will be more engaging in the final game.

It is, but the point of really mentioning it, is that there is so much going on visually, you're almost fooled into thinking the game is doing something incredibly new at first glance. When you actually think about it, you realise it isn't. At least in terms of the actual demo, it could still have some very creative gameplay sections in the final game.

It's not that it necessarily needs to do something new, it's just that the visceral impact of it, kind of misleads you into thinking it is new. That is worth mentioning. Ultimately however, it could be visually compelling enough to make you feel like it's a new experience anyway.

Best looking. Most next gen game I've ever seen. Just look at that. never seen anything like it. This is what I want from next gen.

is it just me, or does the protaganist sort of look like phil spencer?
(a pissed off phil spencer that is..)

He does look like him, lol.

Conceptually and visually the game looks really captivating and the environments look thought provoking. Not a fan of the walk around slowly and look at things style cinematic gameplay though.

Remedy has made some of my favorite games the past 2 console generations. I trust them implicitly. Just let me know when I can give you money and preload so I can go at midnight. I will plan vacation time around this.

I can't even imagine how much work it took to make everything look and behave the way that it does. Scripted or no, that is beyond impressive.

I wrote this game off back in 2013. It's on my radar now.

I view them both as games with fantastic art direction and really interesting premises that I have no desire to play.

I wish one of the time powers was straight up Bullet Time. The shooting just doesn't seem all that fun to me. I never tend to enjoy plain old third-person-shooting unless I can shoot in slow-mo :p

Still up for anything Remedy makes, though. This and Scalebound are going to sell me an Xbox One somewhere down the line.

Looks interesting. I've yet to play a game by Remedy, but I've heard their games are quite repetitive. The concept for this game looks really cool, but I wonder if they will be able to create enough unique scenarios without it becoming too repetitive. Looks like it could be a great entry into the cinematic action genre though.

You do realize that this is an xb1 exclusive completely funded by Microsoft right?

So was Alan Wake. Remedy have their roots in PC gaming. It's not guaranteed to come to PC but it's also not inconceivable based on past trends.

Looks incredible. I'll get this at launch on xbox one and then will double dip for downsampling greatness if it ever comes to the PC at a later date.

The Order has awkward looking animations popping in and out of cover, enemies that barely react to being shot at, and generally clumsy looking combat.

With Quatum Break you have the pedigree of Remedy, who have repeatedly made third person action games with gunplay that feels great.

Remedy doesn't make bad games. This'll be a day 1 from me. Trying to stay in the blind with this. Hopefully we'll hear some news about Alan Wake 2:Even Wakeyer soon. I wants it too.

How the hell do you even compare the order to this?

This video pretty much sold me on a xbone. I will buy the inevitable quantum break bundle.

This was a far better look than the E3 showing. The platforming looks great and Sam Lake explaining the combat mechanic clarified for me that there will be a lot of scope for creative kills.Anyway I loved Max Payne and Alan Wake and there is zero doubt in my mind that the game will be great on all fronts.

This game just went from interesting, maybe to I think must buy

Looking forward to the unique gameplay. Live time manipulation and thought the gunplay looked and sounded amazing

Isn´t the order a ''killsomethinghere-killsomethingthere'' game?

This game has me intrigued, i mean, i don´t even know what is happening in that video. Also Remedy entertainment alone is a very good reason for being hyped imho

Pretty sure MS don't own the Alan Wake IP, whereas they do own this one.

Saying that, some MS owned IP do eventually make it to PC...

You are right, although here at least we have some basic platforming that breaks the combat a little, and The Order was even more linear than this (it was literally a straight line, almost on rails), but generally you have a point.

I think that people just trust Remedy more than an unproven developer (in the AAA field) and that's why QB gets a different treatment.
