I think Cena won't wrestle past forty. He's had a great career and should rest. He'll be great in an ambassador role for WWE.

edit:

Oct 2007 - torn pectoral muscle. Ouch. Returned really quick too! Royal Rumble the following year.
Aug 2008 - herniated disc. Ow.
Sept 2012 - arm injury
April 2013 - Achilles tendon. Jesus.

I'm sure there's been others.

Good morning. Here's Saif's best work yet.

Bret Hart vs George Takano is really good. It's 1991 and Bret Hart is so, so incredible. Bret moves twice as fast as anyone else in the ring except for maybe Stunnin' Steve or Scott Steiner at this point. Not only is he so fast, so smooth, but everything he does looks so good. We like to gif certain things when we watch wrestling. We like to gif big spots, we like to gif Dump stabbing a girl with scissors and the scissors getting stuck, and we like to gif facial reactions.

But the wrestling fan in me watches a Bret Hart match, and the stuff I want to gif is none of those things. Bret Hart is the king of 'little things', he's someone you enjoy more and more as you learn more about wrestling.

People always want to talk up Bret vs Angle, but I think a bigger, better match would have been Hart vs Inoki.

Dragon Kid's kinda insane, dude's been doing this crazy shit for the better part of two decades, remained relatively injury free and hasn't lost a step of pace.
Aerostar did that same huracan rana twice on Drago on the last Lucha. Definitely an awesome move.

No shame in giving Reigns a shot considering how hard he's been pushed (except for period after Rumble).

They aren't even giving him a shot now while Cena is there if it fails. He was on the show for 5 minutes.

Asking Reigns to carry a 3 hour program right now it's foolish and I think they now it.

Inoki wasn't a very good worker for a technical guy like Bret. Bret vs. Fujinami would've been fantastic.

You forgot the torn triceps from around Summerslam 2013.

He's had a lot of smaller injuries too, more than he used. Banged up eye, muscle pulls, etc.
Apparently his neck and hips are in bad shape, too.

He's gonna be a mess by his 40s, like Tanahashi will be.

What does Raw even look like with Reigns as champ? It seems like lately they've barely given him opportunities to talk in the ring, and he's barely shown up.

Do you really see him doing 10 minute promos to start the show and then closing it out at the end?

What do they have him do?

I know what you mean. When Bret's at his best, you can study every individual movement he's making and feel like you're understanding more about why he does what he does.

I don't think anyone will be as good as Bret when comes to making worked moves look like they hurt without stiffin a fellow wrestler.

The same as it does now. Once Reigns is given the belt the product isnt going to change, it's just going to be more of the same meandering aimless stuff we've had for a while now.

So downplaying of the belt, with the champ making a couple appearances a month? Maybe the US or IC belt becomes the main focus?

Wow the build-up for Mania is so bad that even Wai turned on it.

This is the same guy who usually is like "Yeah excited just because"

But as champion Reigns will have to cut promos and sell feuds. He won't have Heyman there talking for 10 minutes and he can't just show up 5 minutes before the ending.

I'm all for protecting talent but he will have to do more than he is doing know if he has the belt.

Once you get to a certain level you shouldn't have to do House Show unless it's a top ten city, maybe even a top 5 city.

Only RAW, sometimes SMACKDOWN, and even then...mostly just cut promos.

Full match PPV only.

Oh..and get paid.

So you want WWE to turn into TNA from 3 years ago?

I have a feeling they are planning to move Heyman's hype man act over to Reigns when he turns on Brock this sunday, so we won't have to worry about Reigns cutting bad 10 minute face promos while opening Raw.

Says a lot about Wrestle-1 when I'm struggling to get through the Zero-1/Wrestle-1 card and saying to myself, 'I wish I was watching AJPW instead.'

Minoru Tanaka must be one of Mutoh's boys or something. They're completely shitting on Jason Lee to put him over clean, multiple times. Jason Lee actually has a future unlike Tanaka who will always be known as 'the guy who got pushed with Tanahashi but didn't get over'

My account finally got approved after 9 years so I can post in addition to reading now. I like Brock Lesnar. I don't like Roman Reigns.

I think Heyman's getting moved over to Reigns and Reigns turns heel on Lesnar; regardless of whether Lesnar comes back or not.

I sort of wish that
Reigns, Ambrose, and Rollins reunite with Heyman at the end of WM; with Rollins cashing in on Lesnar with the help of Ambrose and Reigns triple powerbombing Lesnar. It actually takes care of a ton of plot holes (why Ambrose & Reigns sort of suddenly stopped going after Rollins for instance, and Rollins can state that the Authority saw him as the future of WWE, but he knew he was part of the present), and they can use the defeat of the Authority as when Rollins lost confidence in the Authority and called for his family to return together. Ambrose goes after the IC Title (and Bryan), Reigns goes after the US Title (and Cena), while Rollins lords over the WWE with the World Title. Reigns and Ambrose can cut a promo about how family may fight and family may go their separate ways, but family can always be counted on. Hence, when Seth realized he made a mistake, Ambrose and Reigns were slow to trust, but eventually decided family > all, and reunite the Shield. On top of it, the Shield was initially brought in by Heyman (to protect Punk), so it makes sense that Heyman saw the writing on the wall and went back to helping the Shield.

Only problem with that, is why would Reigns go with that to give Rollins the belt at the cost of him having the belt?

That's harsh, the Heat gimmick did him no favours and was largely a waste of time - perhaps if he'd stuck around he would have found more success, especially once Kanemoto left, but New Japan seemed more focused on Tiger Mask at the time. With Heat I think they saw him as a potential successor to Liger, but after the gimmick never took off they didn't look at Tanaka in the same light and decided on pushing Taguchi as the future of the division instead.
