We all want Alisha. You know she's not gonna be the one they choose. It'll be Sorey and Alisha.

Will they try to modernize it a bit and have Jude and Milla in it instead? 'Cause I still want my Yuri and Estelle.
Don't get me wrong, I really want what you posted to be true... but my experiences with Japanese media companies tells me that your pal either misinterpreted something or Bandai Namco's talking about stuff they'll probably never deliver on... again.Well obviously it's not like I can (or want to) vouch for them
Just reporting what's been said during the event, I couldn't even stay for the whole duration of it so most of it comes from a friend reporter of mine.
If you meant you're taking with a lot of salt what *I've* written (meaning I made it up) then I'm a bit buffled, besides the fact it s not the first time I report on things or break minor news which you couldn't possibly knew/remember of course, it's not like I've reported a megaton or some kind of whoa-scoop!11! lol no offense taken either way! Just thought it could be a somewhat interesting thing to share.
No Xiaomu no purchase
So the countdown was for pxz2 and not cyber sleuth?
Seriously gtfo..
I caved and bought pvz, but it's a shitty cameo game, with a shallow battle system and a pathetic story..
You fooled me once bamco, not going to happen a second time

I wonder if Nintendo can join in the crossover fun
why do you expect much for a fanservice game, and how did you ever linked the site to cyber sleuth (which is similarly a mediocre game)
with that said it's much better than Namco X Capcom, good lord that one is a drag
I was at the event.
The biggest news (which maybe would deserve its own thread too?) more than PXZ2 imo is that speaking with Cris and also by looking at the (yet not officiallly) announced line up is that BNE is going all in on PC.
You can expect 90% of their titles to be released on PC and he even said clearly that Europe will get first class treatment thanks to being more receptive to the Bandai products of the company (anime licenses and such) compared to NA markets, which will be reflected in more localizations than ever and, as already said, PC releases for almost everything.
He even reiterated that thanks to PC will be seeing more titles localized, even for many games which didn't have a PC release originally for the japanese market.
If this is true (no offense meant, I just take people's word with a lot of salt when it comes to Japanese media companies not being retarded w/ global markets), that probably has a lot to do with them getting their IPs to Europe before NA and how shit their NA efforts have been since the anime boom. Most of their problems here in NA stem from not listening to people who actually know the market.
Nintendo characters can go take a hike and stay far away from the next game also.
I hope the art direction is nicer
I'd be hyped if they promise to not make the new one "press x to win"

Some preliminary new character brainstorming @_@
- Pairs
Nero & Gene [DMC, God Hand]
Sakuya & Sora [.hack]
Mega Man.exe & Roll.exe [MM Battle Network]
Emilia & Lumia [PSU/Portable]
Bahn & Candy [Fighting Vipers]
Viewtiful Joe & Sexy Silvia [VJ]
as bad as it can be, i doubt it can be pxz bad
pxz had NO redeeming factor..
useless story, terrible battle system, forgettable music (apart from 2-3 tunes.. i think the intro wa good at least in terms of music..)..
get a grip...
Ehhhhh I really hope they focus more on gameplay rather than just throwing dozens of characters in. Maybe make it full on Fire Emblem Awakening clone and I'll give them all my money
The main story is generic is fuck, but what actually makes it great is that it has SRW's seamless crossover story - tying up the plots of other games into each other so well. That personally is something people should see rather than the main plot itself (which is shit even in SRW).
SRW generally at least bothers giving proper introduction to new series and such. It's cool how it recreates the story progression of some series while throwing in other characters there. PxZ did have some introductory stages later on, but in the beginning of the game most series were just randomly dropped right alongside each other with basically no build up or weight to the encounters.
PxZ multiple worlds/time zone set up also was very messy. They should just have gone with a SRWZ-like set up, where multiple worlds are fused together, rather than making the characters jump and go randomly from one area to the other.
The lack of Phoenix Wright in any character request post saddens me greatily.
The thing is, the game is NxC's sequel so most of the introduction is kinda handwaved for returning characters.

The gameplay needs to be sorted out. The fact that you had to press the same three button combinations, plus assists and a bonus hit, every encounter really dragged since most normal enemies took 2 or 3 turns to kill. They either need to reduce the number of enemies and their HP, or strip out the button combinations and make the animations skippable.
Considering the first came to the US, what are the odds of the sequel making it over?
Nintendo should throw in Master & Crazy Hand as hidden bosses. That's right, a fanservice game character in another fanservice game!
Some animations never got old, namely the .hack and Reiji / Xiaomu finishes.
correct on reiji/xiaomu
god damn i am glad they keep showing up
From what I've seen, Reiji/Xiaomu appear in both NxC and PxZ. I think they will be back. Heck, going by the opening, they appeared in the first Endless Frontier too (don't know about the second).

I never would've thought the .hack theme could be so hype.

You may find it funny. But it's an intresting game, just not enough to buy a 3ds for one game. World will not end if I can't play it.
Of all, 3DS game. Only PxZ interest u?
They already reference a fanservice game in PXZ, it's called Endless Frontier, which ties into the fanservice fest that is Super Robot Wars.
I wonder if the new PXZ will also get an anime opening - it would be neat to be able to expand this: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=_S_cdD0w_jo
Endless Frontier was kind of surreal and meta being in PXZ. Granted, it wasn't explicitly tied to Super Robot Wars was it?
They're in EVERYTHING.
They're practically Monolithsoft's crossover mascots.
