Project X Zone 2: New World for 3DS

I hope they add characters from a new company(or two). Nintendo would be the obvious one but Atlus characters would be nice now that Sega owns them.
Atlus will be represented by the following games:

Persona 4
Persona 4 Golden
Persona 4 Arena
Persona 4 Arena Ultimax
Persona 4 Dancing All Night
Persona Q

I'd be very surprised if they got another company involved. There's still a decent amount of characters from the three we have already that they could add.

It would make sense to have the Demi-fiend from SMT: Nocturne because he would know Dante. In the first game they played it as past crossovers being canon.

New World? I hope it's confirmation of a 4th company.
That....actually would make sense. I'm trying to remember if characters from the same company recognized locations from different franchises (i.e Capcom characters recognized the mall from Dead Rising) or if they just remember it from a previous chapter.

Edit: Ah, they didn't recognize other locations from the same company..........also, I forgot that crossovers = non-canon 99% of the time.

"Brave New World" is primarily a reference to the Namco x Capcom opening theme, though it's possible it could refer to something else as well.

Honestly, I kinda liked how Sega's characters were handled in PxZ. I can't say I cared for all of them, or even a good portion of them, but it was cool to see a different bunch of characters than the regulars of Sumo's Sega crossovers. The more humanoid side of Sega, I suppose. Getting characters like Bruno and Bahn was awesome, and I hope this game gets more characters among those lines.

Yeah, pretty much the entire cast from all the companies were humans. No animals or "cartoony" people. Wonder if they'll keep that rule this time around.

I enjoy seeing franchises that don't get as much spotlight compared to the more popular stuff. It makes crossovers more enjoyable because it shows a wider representation of what a company has done over the years and showing they remember those lesser-known/popular games.

Speaking of human & Sega, I kind of hope to see Golden Axe, Shenmue, & Jet Set Radio (I don't know, make Beat a support with the cops chasing him) represented now.

Yeah, some more Sega presence would be nice. I imagine Atlus stuff is on the table now too (Though I'm not really a fan of, well... any of Atlus' franchises) OG Phantasy Star characters (Chaz and Alyz!) would be ace.

Will they try to modernize it a bit and have Jude and Milla in it instead? 'Cause I still want my Yuri and Estelle.

Well, the two most popular characters in the series (Yuri and Leon) already showed up in PxZ and NxC, respectively. I'm guessing it'll either be Jude & Millia (ugh) or the Zestiria pair.

If it were up to me, I'd have Luke & Tear from Abyss.

Watch we get trolled and they throw in PSO2 characters, especially if they're considering an international release.

I imagine the Sega presence in the first game was designed specifically to appeal to Japanese fans first and foremost.

Thus, no Sonic or the like.

I need me some Ryu Ga Gotoku/Yakuza characters then.

I hope they bring back some characters that were in NxC but didn't return. Klonoa, Wonder Momo, Captain Commando, Strider, Guy & Haggar, Regina from Dino Crisis, Dig Dug guy, & more.

There's pretty much no one from Sega of any note in the first game.

They worked Virtua Fighter plot into PXZ's story.

Not even the Virtua Fighter games use their own plot.

I'd liked to have seen older Sega series in there, but they still worked miracles with what they had.

Wonder if there will be any new Banpresto originals in 2.

There are always Banpresto originals forced down your throat at the beginning and end of the game so that later on they can make Banpresto-only versions of the game.

We can only hope they don't draw excessive attention away from the characters people actually care about and their important moments.

It would be pretty cool if Mega Man, Pac-Man and Sonic were added from each company and they made a reference to their meeting in Smash.

Can the Daytona or Outrun car team up with the Ridge Racer car?

I don't care how that makes sense. I just want that to happen for the hell of it, especially since they made the damn jet from Ace Combat & car from Ridge Racer playable characters in a BASEBALL GAME.

Hoping for Kiryu Kazuma and some Sengoku Basara love this time. The return of Hsien-Ko would be nice. Namco Bandai wise...Jun Kazama please!

I won't get suckered in this time.

the apogee of mediocrity, the summit of shit. it doesn't get any more disappointing than Crossezan

Now can they make the game not mediocre

If it's a strategy game with no strategy and levels that literally go on for hours like the first then no thanks.

I came in to make a comment similar to these. Thank you for doing the work for me!

I guarantee there will be almost no difference with the new PXZ2 outside of a few different characters.

Sakura Wars is a dead franchise and yet it had two pairs. I don't think it was just a matter of popularity, they deliberately went for a certain style. There was also Fighting Vipers, Dynamite Cop and Zombie Revenge as assists.

The first one was one of those games I would have blindly bought on day one... But I decided to play the demo first, lol. Fix that game and I'll consider it. A godlike roster is not enough, really.

wow what a coincidence. i was reading about DeNA on wikipedia after hearing about the layoffs, and as usual i keep clicking other links. i ended up on project x zone 1, and remembered how much i liked the game. read the reception and it said bandai namco was surprised it went beyond what it expected. then i wished for a sequel...and it looks like it was granted.

Thanos acquires the fully powered Infinity Gauntlet in The Avengers: Infinity War, but loses when all the superheroes team up together to stop him.
Please be shorter this time.

Of all the games i've played, Project X Zone is among the top titles I have the hardest time seeing a sequel for. The original had an interesting setup that was butchered by repetitive gameplay, a nonsensical story (even for a crossover game) and full of pandering fan service that did not cover up how bloated and tedious the entire experience happened to be, especially after the 3DS had a much better tactical RPG in the form of Fire Emblem: Awakening.

Also:
There's pretty much no one from Sega of any note in the first game.

For a game that was meant to be a crossover with three of Japan's biggest video game companies, there was quite a lack of well-recognized SEGA characters. Unless there are some major improvements to the gameplay (and they include Klonoa because rabbits are awesome), I think i'll hold off on picking this one up.

Cautiously optimistic. I had fun with the first game, but man did it overstay its welcome. Feels like it could have been 20-30 hours shorter. It was a good time killer though.

I hope the art direction is nicer

The artist and animator of the 2D bits is really not that good. Hopefully they get someone else.

I definitely want Sonic most of all, I've wanted him in a JRPG for so long. NO Chronicles is absolutely not that.

Can you effectively play as one character so long as you unlocked that character in the whole game?
