There is a fix on XDA, install xposed framework and use rootcloak, apply the miitomo fix and whala, it works.

My phone is not rooted and it still crashes.

I'm on an official Xiaomi MiUI7 unrooted phone. When i try to "hide my root" (just to be sure) I also get the notification that the phone is not rooted.

I had to enable Mii copying in the WiiU menu. Is it normal that this takes a while to update/register? I keep getting the same 'not allowed' error, even though I've changed the setting. I'll try again in a few hours.

Go into your Mii settings on Wii U and enable copying. Of course it doesn't update on the app straight away (updated mine 30 mins ago and Miitomo still gives me the above message) and I can't even quickly create a QR code without pissing about finding an SD card.

While I'll never wear any dresses, the fact that it's an option is fantastic. I've seen a couple things listed as dresses that look more like long t shirts I may end up grabbing at some point.

I haven't been able to do anything yet and I already thought 'this is typical Nintendo'. My Mii is visible in my Nintendo account. I linked it there. I should be able to just use it immediately for this app. Ugh

I'm not sure, scour XDA for answers, they usually have someone with a fix, I just know what I had to do to get it working on rooted devices.
