I have a soft spot for Minun. When I first caught it in Ruby I thought it was cool that it looked like Pikachu and it stayed in my team all the way to the elite four.

I love Raichu. I always evolve my Pikachus into Raichu. I evolved one of the giveaway shiny Pichus alll the way to Raichu and leveled it to 100. It's one of my favorites in my collection.

I don't see the evolutions or Marill as "not Pikachus," (though if I did, Marill would easily be my favorite) and the others feel too redundant. At least Emolga sets itself apart.

In general I think this is one of the most pointless things Game Freak has done in terms of Pokemon design. There's no reason to keep making Pokemon this similar to Pikachu. So they all kinda suck.

Once more, aside from being a rodent and having dumb rumors pop up back before people in the US new gen 2 was a thing, name one thing that makes Marill a pikaclone. Because by the logic that marill is a pikachu clone, so are patrat, minccino and every other rodent

Plusle / Minun and Dedenne are both really cute. I think Pichu while cool is kind of inferior compared to Plusle / Minun and is trying to do the same thing.

Marill is kind of boring imo but the schoolyard buzz about 'Pikablu' and the hype when we saw him in the movie plus him being Tracy's main companion in the cartoon makes him a favorite in my mind
