This series went to SHIT in record time. Takes two chapters to just shit all over everything. It's not even a "lol ntr" thing. It's a "why does this even exist?" thing. What's the point of this? Black Label already exists. We're knee deep into this series already running too long. And now we...introduce another love interest that looks like Kaoru who finds out about breathers in about 2 minutes? What the fuck? How does this sound like a good idea to the writer?

I started reading this older manga from 1989, Okama Hakusho about a guy in college who gets drunk with his friends and they put girl stuff on him and it turns out he's super cute as a girl so his buddy takes him to a drag queen bar for him to earn cash and there he falls in love with a girl who comes in.

Whew.

So it's 1989 Japan and as tone deaf as you'd expect but has some surprising respect for the gay drag queens of the bar as well as some other gender and sexuality things. It's pretty charming and funny with...unique artwork (sorry but goddam 80s and 90s manga just had a style I do not like) so all the characters are very easy to pick out and define.

That said, you have to take their treatment of stuff with a grain of salt. As I said, 1989 Japan. He basically gets mouth-raped and it's played for laughs. So you know...forewarned.

The serialisation of a one-shot I read in late 2014, but with a number of changes, including a younger FeMC and a shift from gothic lolita fashion to anime cosplay. My love of gothloli compels me to curse the author for the switch, but I begrudgingly accept that it'll (probably) give it more widespread appeal, and it (probably) has greater potential as a story device. She doesn't look anywhere near as stylish as her one-shot counterpart though. Hmph.

Pretty fun little one shot. About a princess who doesn't wait to get rescued but instead tries to escape herself from the Evil Overlord. She takes being a Princess pretty seriously. I'd read an ongoing about a Princess who does step over triangle chokes.

Kinda silly how dedicated to her image she is but it worked for the story.

We are about to get an info dump like nothing since Guts and crew made it to Flora's home. I believe the next couple of chapters we are going to get some major mysteries at least partially explained and of course get some major character growth and progression. Not too mention that time operates slower on the Island means by the time they do leave some serious time could have passed in the rest of the world. Even commenting on how the Elf King can help restore Casca's mind!

Well I'm finding some interesting elements. Certainly explains why Hiroshi has a hate on for Kaoru given his family circumstances.

And certainly breaking into Nanas phone clearly shows what a dirtbag whatshisface is.

Still it is bothersome to break Nana and Kaoru up for this this kind of unoriginal story that seems to typical of romance manga. I guess Ore Monogatari is the lone exception.

This had great potential to be an awesome and charming sports series but it ended too soon. I need my jump soccer fix and this would have done it. I love the two bickering characters, its like my thing in manga.

Well I thought doing a long distance relationship story was worth. Of course I guess some people feel the whole comic is pointless because of Black Label and the knowledge of how that plays out.

I forgot Claude still thought of Tsugumi as a boy. The reveals aa glorious.

Ruri shaming every non Marika girl with that forward confession.

Im guessing Marika and Chitoge meeting will be for Marika to give assurance and stenght to Chitoge in her own way.

I'm guessing it's going to have more to do with the magicians not being able to help Casca at all. I'd like for her to come back, get armed up, and ride out with Guts to kick Griffith's shit in, but I have a feeling Guts won't get that happy ending.
