That's kind of a sad thing considering you drafted a QB with the second overall pick of the draft.

I'm very excited about Wentz, but he's not going to get many (or potentially any) meaningful snaps this year. I'm with Walrus though, the defense is the part of the Eagles worth watching.

Sorry, zswordsman and I already made plans. He's gonna give me a nice tour of Mexico City and show me where the best food is.

;P

Godo Dayyum, sold out in minutes, that's fucking insane...
We gonna hit up all the tacos stands and food within a 20 mile radius. Then we'll go to Teotihuacan cause why not :v

Hey, my Browns - Patriots tickets arrived today on my Birthday!

Two rows from the field :)

Gonna be a fun game with Lord Brady and Flash Gordon coming back!

I don't see how you can be so confident. Wentz is the lifeline for Howie and the new coaching staff. Bradford is already widely disliked by fans. If the Eagles start 2-4, Wentz is going in.

Hell, Jared Goff is probably going to start for the Rams Week 1 and he was the 3rd pick.

Awesome avatar, Stoner is one of my favorite books.

I think we'll see Wentz this year, but that may not be a good thing, because it'll mean that Bradford broke something or just continued to be Bradford and stink it up. And I really don't have any faith in Chase Daniel being a starter for more than one game before the coaches go to Wentz.

I don't think so. Yeah there's rabid fans that will be demanding it, but most of them just follow the Philly sports media hot takes. And the media overwhelmingly supports sitting Wentz for as long as necessary, and it seems like pretty much everyone acknowledged that this is a semi-rebuilding season where the Eagles won't be doing anything noteworthy. People will be calling for Daniel before Wentz. I could be wrong but I feel like after last season everyone getting worked up into a frenzy only to have it come crashing down that there is more of a wait-and-see approach this season, and recognize that this team needs a lot more work than just a different QB.

Goff was the number 1 pick.

And, in any case, the situation is different because the Rams did not just resign their starter from last year for big money.

Philadelphia is in this weird confluence of the fanbase actually being patient. It's bizarro land right now. The reaction to the Phillies potentially trading Hellickson and Velasquez is overwhelmingly in favor of it, because they thing long term success is more important than having great players now. Similarly, look at the fact that a significant portion of Sixers fans fully bought in to The Process, whereas there used to be outrage when the team didn't make big splashy moves and try to get top players. Even the Flyers have gone into a rebuild, and people expected it to take a long time and just didn't realize how good Hextall was at his job and they somehow made the playoffs.

I actually think this weird showing of patience by the Philly fanbase is going to to lead to the treatment of Wentz being completely different than it was in the past when there were QBs waiting in the wings. Over the past two years I've sort of seen something I never saw with the fans here in that they were valuing patience and the long term over the win now mindset. After getting burned by Chip Kelly I think that's going to hit Eagles fans too, and they're going to think long term about Wentz and not short term.

Small thing but always kinda hoped the NX would be BC, so I could catch up on the Wii u stuff I missed. Curious to see what this thing looks like
There are a lot of full NFL games on Youtube.
Yeah I posted about this before. The NFL uploaded 96 of the most memorable games (voted by fans) onto YouTube.
The link has a list of games by teams

Assuming it doesn't become a collector's item, you'll probably be able to get a Wii U on clearance for probably under $150 in the coming year. Games are getting pretty cheap too, there's some nice stuff on there.

Maybe they'll do a Virtual Console sort of thing again. That would mean having to buy the games again though :/

BREAKING NEWS!!!! HOLD THE THREAD!

The Green Bay Packers have a new sponsorship ... an official bacon.

Wisconsin-based Patrick Cudahy signed a sponsorship deal that will allow the company to call themselves exactly that and to use the Packers trademarks in grocery stores throughout the state.

The deal also includes the rights to control a concession stand at Lambeau. The stand, called the Patrick Cudahy Packhouse, will have bacon focused items including "The Pigskin," which is a bacon-wrapped potato topped with chili, cheese and bacon-crusted cheese curds with a side of bacon ranch dressing.

Everyone needs more bacon. Except Pats fans because fuck 'em.

Jordy Nelson tweaked his other knee so that's awesome. I'm about 75% sure he'll never be the same player again.

I agree that Pats fans suck and they should be deprived of all good things but no one can agree that Packer fans need more bacon.

Thats a good thing.

Of course in reality that means he will have an absolutely monster year. Especially against the vikings where he will somehow end up wide open 80 yards down field on a broken play multiple times in the same game.

That awkward moment when I'm actually going to the Cowboys-Bears game with my Brother (YUUUGE Cowboys fan) and I'm a Bears fan. 👀

At least I didn't paid for it, he did.
