This would be great. I think a lot of us in here forget how adept Clinton is at debating.

It's not even "adept", it's just the obvious honest answer and it's what Bill was talking about too. You think Bill Clinton wants to repeal Obamacare? He was saying it needs to be improved in his usual no fucks given way and-also-doesn't-really-like-Obama.

Morning Joe basically saying Bill adopted the tea party 2010 argument with his fuck up Obamacare quote. He kind of did. I just hope it fades away soon. Not sure if it will.

Bill has really lost his touch since 2012.

Hillary can say whatever at the town hall but it's hard to spin your way out of a former Dem Pres saying the ACA is the craziest thing in the world to hard working Americans who can't get the subsidies
Yes if you think the tea party was for more government in health care rather than racial resentment for expanding government programs to help more people than just old people

So how has the coverage been this morning? Focusing on Pence's lies? Kaine coming off better in the clips?

The entire of the front page of r/politics is about Pence's lies, if that matters.

A couple places talking about Pence running away from Trump (MSNBC has it as their focus on their site). CNN has this amazing tag line "VP debate really shows 2016 is about Clinton and Trump" which is the most obvious statement ever and applies to 100% of VP debates. The content of the story is fine, I liked this bit for example:
When Kaine threw a litany of attacks on Trump in Pence's direction, Pence often scoffed, batted them away and moved on -- never addressing them directly, never helping Kaine to make Trump's most incendiary words sink in. And always turning the conversation back to Clinton.
The problem: Part of Pence's role is defending Trump.

Also quite a lot of places taking Pence's talk of Hillary's "insult driven campaign" to task, as Trump was insulting Kaine in real time while the debate was going on like a moron.

Poor Kaine :)-/)

Tim Kaine lost in a biased online poll? Woe is me!

Maybe Pence didn't know trumps Syria strategy is to let Russia handle it. Or he lied.

Their campaign must be completely undisciplined to the point that they must just be winging it day to day. Pence's plan would require boots on the ground, no way around it. So Trump's position is to let Russia deal with it and Pence's position is to deploy ground forces to maintain a safe zone and no fly zone.

I mean, this is about going to war and their ticket can't even get on the same page with that. Pence refuses to take questions about Trump's comments seriously and doesn't even really care what Trump has said.

Quote has more to do with how the subsidies end up working (or not working) for small businesses and people working long hours.

I say let her prepare for the debate considering it could be a legit fatality on Trump.

Plus her surrogates are all over the place:

- Bill in Ohio
- Chelsea in Iowa
- Kaine in Pennsylvania
- Bernie in Iowa and Wisconsin

LOL at Trump being furious about Pence last night. What a clownshow.

That commercial needs to be split into 2 effective 30-second commercials for airing in all swing states.

Haha. The consensus overall seems to be boiled down into that headline, "Everyone won the debate last night, except Donald Trump"

Also seems like most aggregates show Clinton's September slump has been undone.

A little rant:

The moderator asked a question last night that was essentially "deficit and debt is bad, what's your plan". There wasn't room to say deficit can be helpful, debt is under control, or anything like that based on the premise of the question. I just wanna point out how ridiculous that was.

Can someone explain to me where the idea Trump says "Gyna" comes from? He talks weird, but I've never heard him pronounce China that way.

Wtf at those comments. Why are people proudly sporting the deplorable tag too? I mean I know why but still

The best part about those wearing "deplorables" as a badge of honor is that every time I click on one of their accounts they are an actual deplorable person talking about white genocide or Jews or something like that. Like, what are they trying to prove by wearing that tag again?

These people take pride in their prejudice. Acknowledging it doesn't embarrass them, it empowers them.

EXCELSIOR!

http://www.politico.com/story/2016/10/al-gore-campaign-for-hillary-clinton-2016-229176

Former Vice President Al Gore will soon hit the trail on behalf of Hillary Clinton, with the campaign likely announcing his emergence on Wednesday, a Democrat familiar with the move confirmed to POLITICO.

Clinton and aides have recently been pointing to Gore's 2000 experience as a warning to young voters who are considering voting for third-party candidates. Gore also is a notable spokesman for the issue of climate change — a topic President Barack Obama has also been using to try to energize young voters.

Gore endorsed Clinton in July, as the Democratic National Convention was getting underway, saying the "global climate crisis" inspired him, in part, to throw his support behind the former secretary of state.

"I am not able to attend this year’s Democratic convention, but I will be voting for Hillary Clinton," Gore wrote in the first of a series of three tweets laying out his rationale for endorsing Clinton. "Given her qualifications and experience — and given the significant challenges facing our nation and the world, including, especially, the global climate crisis, I encourage everyone else to do the same."

Campaign officials did not respond to requests for comment.

He's super cereal guys.
