Let's Talk About PlayStation VR: List of Upcoming Titles

This is my exact issue. No idea how I'm going to set this up and will the light of the projector when using the social screen give me issues. My PS4 is behind me so I think I'm limited on where I can put the camera. Oh well I'll worry about the perfect set up later.

If the PS4 is behind you just play it towards the PS4. The light from the projector would be pointing away from the camera. It doesn't matter if your facing the screen or not.

So I'm looking at my download queue and it says Rez is playable, but there are a load of things called Rez evolution which keep getting fails on the DL - I got the pre-order pack so I assume they're all bonus content and won't affect the game?

Game is only 480mb!

There's not really many textures, it's all wireframe, probably why :)

Just preordered Summer Lesson.

No turning back now.

If English subtitles had been included, I might have been tempted to create an Asian account to buy this. I'm still holding out hope that it'll either get localized for the West, or the Singapore/Hong Kong PSN region will get an English subtitled version and I'll just create a Singapore account instead.

Well I'm getting deployed to North Carolina this week to help out with search and rescue in flooded areas from hurricane Matthew. Not sure when I'll be back but it seems unlikely it'll be by Thursday.

True but not the ideal set up in the long run. I have no furniture facing that way. Like I said though just get me in the headset on day one. I'll worry about comfort and room layout later.

Sounds rough, hope you get back soon. Getting sudden orders out of nowhere sucks, I know the feeling.

Anyone else gamestop allowing people to reserve extra units? The one buy my house has a peoples names and phone numbers and which version you want on a piece of paper and says it will guarantee you one as long as you show up to the midnight.

Can anybody sell me on EVE? Thought it looked like a neat little $20-30 game but now I'm seeing in-game currency and a $60 tag... not sure what to think anymore

Do we know anything about Loading Human? Haven't seen any recent impressions
It's also $40

I am currently downloading EVE: Valkyrie ($20 Amazon), Until Dawn: ROB demo, Playstation VR Demo Disc, SUPERHYPERCUBE, and Thumper.

I am also planning on getting PSVR Worlds (Bundle), EVE: Gunjack, Batman Arkham VR, Driveclub VR, Battlezone, RIGS, and The Assembly.

Still on the fence and looking for more impressions on Loading Human, Super Stardust Ultra VR, Fated: The Silent Oath, and Wayward Sky.

This launch lineup is insane y'all.

You guys see this PSN store page? https://store.playstation.com/#!/en-us/ps-vr-catalog/cid=STORE-MSF77008-VIRTUALREALITYG/1

Bit surprised Super Hypercube is $30.

This game went from Day 1, to Day whenever they put in on sale at 19.99 or less. No way am I paying 30 bucks for a VR tetris. Disappointed with this pricing. Then you look at Sports Bar VR for 20 bucks and see the value you get there and wonder what they were thinking here. Does Hypercube even have any sort of multiplayer?

Yeah, I kind of feel the same. I feel burned for not buying it for $20 when the Amazon glitch happened, even though I was on the page, and now seeing a ton of microtransactions, has me a bit skeptical.

Fated was actually delayed to November, so that's one more to check off of your list. According to Jim Sterling's Thumper video which went up today, apparently a few embargoes drop tomorrow for more PSVR titles.

I'm super interested, but the lack of info and impressions makes me wary.

"Alice would make eye contact with my actual face and the subtle gestures in her movement would, at times, make me feel a bit uncomfortable. In some ways, it came across as a bit too immersive at times, which is a weird thing I don’t think I’ve ever said before. "
Lol sounds cool

Apparently it's 4 hours long?
Ehhh not sure if I can justify this at launch with so much other stuff releasing. Might have to wait for a sale unless reviews are really glowing

Anybody know if Headmaster is really coming out tomorrow? The drop said it is, but the store listing has a placeholder date of next year.

On a side note, there's surprisingly little buzz for the game, it looks hilarious. My wife's played it a couple times at Best Buy and had a lot of fun.

Cool, that's a little extra than I'd seen about it so far.

I've taken the plunge. I wanna try interesting things with VR and this sounds interesting.

Man.. This VR launch is so different from the Vive and Oculus launches. There's just soo many titles being released that people are having to prioritize which games to get.

Guys, Thumper is seriously incredible.

I just downloaded it to check it out before PSVR comes out and... wow. This game is going to melt my face in VR.

Prioritizing? What's that?

I got Eve ($20), Rigs, Driveclub (and bought a t150 that was dead on arrival =_=), Sports bar, Battlezone, Ace Banana, Loading Human, The Assembly, Keep talking, Until Dawn ROB and Here they lie. I may have forgot some too :/

edit: Yup, Rez.

Haha why are you guys buying so many games before actually trying them out on the demo disc? There's no need to rush in this age of fast digital distribution.

Well true. Whatever I'm not getting physical I'm trying out. But I played a few games already on PS VR. And also from playing the Vive, there's a few titles I want because they get close to stuff I liked on that.

After agonising over it all week, I ended up cancelling my PSVR Preorder today - if there was no PS4 Pro on the horizon I would've kept it, but can't justify both. I got a chance to try the PSVR last week at a Sony roadshow, and although I was very impressed with the immersion and the potential, I haven't seen anything that blew me away (I tried Arkham VR, Into The Deep, and Driveclub VR). I suspect I'll end up buying a PSVR a bit further down the track.

I'll be very interested to hear impressions for all of the launch games though.

Well I wasn't planning on picking any games up at launch, but I couldn't resist the Eve Valkyrie and Driveclub physical price errors lol. I was going to get Driveclub anyway, but I hope Eve is worth the $20 spent.

I think you're missing Batman Arkham VR there! ;D

Same, as hard as it was for me to do. I'll get the Pro first since there are big games coming out in the next month that I want to play using the Pro. I still believe in VR and I'm waiting to see how the tech handles AAA titles like RE7 and GTS. I still see myself picking one up within the year.

I'm afraid my debit card may flag my two Amazon preorders as fraud, and they'll subsequently be canceled.

Both orders say they'll be delivered on Thursday, so I'm considering purchasing an Amazon gift card and paying at least one of them off. If it's canceled for any other reason, I'd be stuck with that $550 gift card, which would suck.

So conflicted on what to do. I think I may just trust everything to work out. Only reason I'm worried is because my card was just disabled due to jet.com attempting to authorize it for a purchase I was going to make, but I've ordered from Amazon in the past.

You made me paranoid and I called up my credit card company just to make sure my account wasn't getting flagged and they knew I had another relatively purchase incoming (I have had a few big purchases over the last few days), there's rarely such activity on my card so yeah, anyways now I have peace of mind and they've put a note on the account just in case.

IMO skip Eve. It's definitely a cool experience flying in space in a spaceship as if you were sitting in the cockpit, but the game has little depth with a crap system of progression. Not really too much incentive to keep playing after the initial hour.

It totally should be priced like a free to play thing with all of that in-game currency stuff. I got it for free with an Oculus Rift and my experience is based off of that version.

I was told, by Chase, that they can't guarantee anything but they also noted my account. Hoping Amazon processes these sooner than Wednesday night so I can queue up at midnight as a last resort.

Gonna download the US demo disk as soon as I finish work, already downloaded The Playroom, Summer Lesson and Idolmaster VR. Not long now !!!

Are we expecting everything on the demo disk to be available as an individual download as well? That would be way more convenient. Skip the stuff I have the full versions for and uninstall piece by piece over time. I'm guessing this won't be the case though otherwise there'd be no point to releasing the whole big package as they have done.

Separately, can the Move be used as a pointer when navigating the system menu in VR, ala Vive? I fired mine up for the first time today in non-VR and I'm not a fan of the shake left/right/up/down to move. Kept moving more than I wanted to. If using a Dualshock or even a move Navigation controller you'd be fine but with 2 Moves in hand (which might happen fairly often) I feel like system navigation will be a pain.

Super Hypercube is one of my most-wanted games, but $30 is very steep. It's only one mode. You try over and over again to beat your high score. I actually like that about it, but this should be priced $10 like Tumble.
