I just can't win today. The only match I won was 100 - 99. Every match has someone dominating on the enemy team with either the NV4 - Fallout or the FHR-40 - Windfall. It feels like I have no target assist at all and yet people are able to get headshots easily jumping through the air and then into a slide. I just don't even know...

In other news though, apparently today was my day for zombies. Holy shit. I haven't played zombies in like a month and then I decided to just hop on it. Last time I played my max round was 24. This time? I got to round 37. Solo. It got fucking crazy.

In other news though, apparently today was my day for zombies. Holy shit. I haven't played zombies in like a month and then I decided to just hop on it. Last time I played my max round was 24. This time? I got to round 37. Solo. It got fucking crazy.

I've had two TDM games where I alone had 50+ kills on my team. More than half of the kills on my team! And we still lose. Getting shit teams are the worst.

Maybe it's Placebo or my connection is a lot better today... but holy shit I was destroying with the RPR. It felt so much more accurate then before.

Maybe the aim assist buffs were that big.

Beyond logging in for daily login bonus, haven't touched the game in a few weeks due to work, but three day weekend and double XP should bring me back.

Something happened with scorestreaks in this last patch. Scorchers, scarabs, APEX don't seem to kill anyone anymore. I had a bunch of scorchers that I put over flags the other team was capping and just got hit markers. I got attacked by scorchers dead on and didn't die. Both my buddy and I did scarabs right on top of people and didn't kill them. He got an APEX and said multiple times it took 10 or more hit markers before it killed someone.

Killing teammates in HC adds to your scorestreak build up.
Pre-game melee hits in HC with your team end up as automatic deaths for the both of you.

I actually like the MK-II variants being a thing. It really expanded the pool of guns to be dropped and will make me spend more time trying different weapon types.

Uh...how do I know if I'm doing a main mission or a side mission? I just defended the moon base. How do I advance the story? Or do I have to do a side mission?

In the bottom right of the map is a key to the different mission symbols.

All the side missions are optional so you can just mainline the story. You'll miss out on the marked targets and perks/equipment though.

So If I had to guess, does Target Assist not work for everyone? Or is it just me? I swear it just does not work. I go up against people who could fucking slide, wall run, and then fly through the air and always perfectly shot someone. Yet me? It feels like any time I go to aim at anyone, the game always pushes my reticle just off of them.

Also shotguns need buffed. NOW. I'm sorry but when a shotgun can't beat most guns at close range, you know you fucked up. Seriously, SMGs, ARs, and LMGs all kill faster than Shotguns at close range.

Joined a lobby where a party was dominating, I was on the opposite team from them. We lost badly like one or two games, but then I put my tryhard pants on for a match on Terminal.

We barely won, 100-98. Myself and another person had to pretty much carry the team, but the party quit the lobby before the winner's circle, lmao. Dat rage quit.

Perhaps it's just the Reaver. I have the Rodeo and I like the gun but just feels too weak. Even in Team Tactical.

Also I know it maybe considered crazy... but I only need 600 more salvage for an Epic and still thinking of getting the Ripper. I know some say it isn't that great but the times I have used it I always have fun.

It's like they looked at the situation with shotguns in BO3 and instead of reigning them in just a little, went full on in the other direction.

Eish, the Reaver is the best shotgun of the lot. Needs a good trigger finger though. And not good for Team Tactical. None of the shotguns are. They benefit very little from the damage changes and suffer from the limited mobility. The key to using shotguns well is mastering movement. Sliding, dodging, flanking, take advantage of the fact that you don't need to be as precise. That's the one boon they've kept (though not to the same extent as in BO3).

It's like they looked at the situation with shotguns in BO3 and instead of reigning them in just a little, went full on in the other direction.

The shotguns in Black Ops 3 were perfectly fine except for the Brecci. Complaints towards the other 3 (or 5 if you count the Banshii and Marshal 16) are from people who demand the game to bend around their chosen classes and playstyles, rather than to adapt and adjust to "unusual" opposition, like the presence of actual decent shotguns.

Unfortunately, InfinityWard seems all too keen to cater to those types, what with the continued supreme domination of assault rifles and recent buff to SMG aim assist ranges. Meanwhile, the snipers got a nothing buff to quickdraw (I can't feel a difference whatsoever, and I snipe a lot, always with quickdraw), and the shotguns got a nearly useless buff to aim assist.

Any dedicated zombie players here?

I play more MP than zombies, but I'm still decent at zombies. I think I'm rank 50-something at this point, and I've got some of the more useful epic weapons. Still haven't done the Easter Egg though. Those Seti-Com defenses are a painus in the anus.

I agree, I enjoyed the shotguns in BO3 and I'd rather have the slightly OP range of the Brecci in IW than what we currently have.

Also the payloads of the Stryker combat rig continue to be useless. I wonder if that will ever get buffed?

They said that they buffed the microturret, but didn't give numbers. Just said that they increased its health, fire-rate and ammunition. Could be tiny stuff, like the sniper quickdraw "buff".

The Gravity Vortex gun definitely needs a buff though. Worst payload in my experience, and with only two shots and one of the longest charge-up times.

And the Centurion... I don't know where to begin with the Centurion. I'm not sure anyone does. I thought I'd see them more often playing Domination, but nope.

I enjoy the shit out of ZiS, but I don't have anyone to run it with often enough. Got bored of running pubs who could run anywhere from 10 to 30 waves. I'm always up for playing in groups if we can figure out a set round to end on, or something like that.

I'm also interesting in running the EE at some point. Need to get those trophies so I can get the Platinum.

The Gravity Vortex gun definitely needs a buff though. Worst payload in my experience, and with only two shots and one of the longest charge-up times.

That thing needs to fire a fully-formed black hole that can't kill the user until it hits a wall or something, so it just sucks in anyone who intercepts its flight path. For the four minutes that thing takes to charge, it needs to be devastating if it's going to have just two shots.
 
I know it's a lot of different people, but I'm sure Infinity Ward is willing to have shotguns be trash forever than have another 1887 situation.

Is there a buff that actually makes this thing shoot people consistently? I just can't believe 90% of players are running blind eye.

It works, but it's weak. I was missing up close with the rack 9, and I turned off target assist, and the lack of aim slowdown was noticeable. If you turn it off, you'll notice it truly missing.

Target assist seems noticeably absent when you are trying to get on target by hitting the ads button a few times, and it sometimes feels gone when you are in the air due to jumping affecting aim point.

I jumped back in and played with a friend on Friday. I saw for whatever reason they updated the hardcore playlist to no longer have reflective friendly ammo. I was team killed just about every round as soon as the game started and numerous times playing the game. I'm out. They need to keep reflective ammo on in hardcore mode. Too many idiots exist in the world to allow it any other way.

I just don't even know how people solo the Easter Egg. The Seti-Com defense part is so dumb! Within ~5 seconds you become overwhelmed even by round 8 and your Pack-a-punch guns are worthless against the horde that appear!

Get a good trap like the sentry turret and pack a punch the starting pistol and bomb stoppers perk and it can be done

Yep, bringing along the Legendary Kendall that grants perks at every 75th zombie kill is also a pretty good idea. In later waves you're basically guaranteed a perk every other wave, which is really nice. Akimbo, extended mags, laser sight. Don't bother with auto-sear or you'll burn through your ammo.
