Lol speaking of gameplay footage..
You choose three characters in your load-out and are able to switch on the fly.

Weird, they have the 80s references going strong, but I liked the Agents of Mayhem theme at the very end more than either of the references.
I'll wait for reviews but be cautiously optimistic.
They certainly don't sounds impressed.
No they don't. Personally I got tired of the Saints Row wackiness, they never brought my favourite online mode back either, Blinged Out Ride.
So, for the DLC, left to right:
Iron Man, Luke Cage, Ms. Marvel, Cyclops, ???, Captain America.
Who the heck is the Oleg analog supposed to be? I was convinced he was Panthro for some reason, but that makes no sense.
Saints Row peaked at 2 and they haven't ever made a worthy sequel since then.No they don't. Personally I got tired of the Saints Row wackiness, they never brought my favourite online mode back either, Blinged Out Ride.
Same, Saints Row was really just spinning its wheels past 3. I wonder if now that AOM exists for wackiness, it opens up Saints Row to get refreshed and relatively grounded.
I don't think they're that specifically Marvel. My guess from left to right:
Iron Man, Bruce Lee, ??? (either Punisher or Cobra inspired), X-Men, Panthro, American Gladiator

Three HAS to be Kamala Khan Ms. Marvel, though. What a weird assortment.
Good.Supposedly the game will be heavy on the Saturday morning cartoon style, so I expect the AoM theme to pop up a lot.
Probably. Ultor is mentioned, so it also takes place in the Red Faction universe. Of course after the ending of SR4 things are a little weird.
I'm looking forward to this game.
Surprised they're allowed to mention Ultor, considering Nordic owns the Red Faction IP now.

Just FYI, this is all B-roll footage supplied by the publisher and is being played by someone really showboating to use all the abilities in the flashiest way possible. That's fine! It makes for cool video. In my experience with the game, there wasn't much impetus to be this active and dramatic--the AI are real basic and I spent more time hiding around a corner to recover shield, popping out to use some abilities and kill a guy or two, etc. And the degree of hectic it would yet could make it pretty hard to tell what was going on.This gave a way better idea than Polygon's video. I'm really loving the direction this is going in. The end of the Eurogamer video got pretty hectic, which is cool. The "Balls" joke was too much, but, hey, everything else looks and sounds fun.
Eurogamer said:The gameplay is scruffy and has a very last-gen feel, while the humour is both tired and uninspired. Most troublesome of all though is the general apathy surrounding the game; there's just no buzz for Agents at all.
That's not to say, however, that there isn't fun to be had. Agents has its moments - when you get into the groove with the combat, deftly flicking between your three available agents and their specialist skills, for instance, or retiring an injured character at just the right moment so they can recover health back at the base.
This is ultimately going to live or die based on Volition's ability to script great set pieces that make otherwise standard games memorable. Saints Row 3 and 4 work (IMO), because of great moments within the campaign. If AoM has the same magic, I'll enjoy it.
Hrn, looking at it again, it looks like the girl on the right is more Wonder Woman than Captain America, so it doesn't seem to be specifically Marvel.

Nah, I don't think that's Ms. Marvel. That's far too removed from her. Fortune looks like a mix of Captain America and Punisher. Then again, looking at Cobra, I can see where those comparison would come from.
Trailer made it seem like it was a MOBA.
Nope.
This. She has a skull on her chest. That's not a Ms Marvel reference. The first thing that came to mind was Punisher when he was dressing up a bit like Captain America:
...due to the color scheme, the skull on the chest, and the fact that she dual wields pistols, but that might be a little too much of a deep cut. It's possible they messed with the colors a bit just to avoid copyright infringement though.
This.
Look at how the vehicles move and jump. Look at the colours of the city. It looks super Crackdown 1-ish.
I am curious about customization options, such as outfits, etc. If it is like Saints Row in that regard, then I am sold. The rest looks like solid fun.
You can change your character's skins, but that's about it. Nowhere near as indepth as the Saints Row games.
lemme see that time machine you gotIt's not going to challenge any GOTY lists but it's not yeah looking.
