Is that the Mario Kart 8 director? The shorter bald guy.

Is that the Mario Kart 8 director? The taller bald guy.
Edit: wow that guy is taller than he looks, I mean the guy on the right
Min Min is a fucking nightmare when played well. Holy shit.
If they were going to announce a new character I think they'd have made the character playable at the event so that we could see it in action.seriously they do so much work on this but no new deets

Helix was announced shortly before, so I think that was their intention there.

The West needs to pick up the slack for Japan not loving it like Japan loves Splatoon.People love it.

The game will be a success. All it needs to be huge is some single player content and casual modes.

I still think ARMS is going to have a little trouble with Splatoon out there, they are lucky SMASH is not out here too.
ARMS is legit though much more impressive then I expected.
At least it looks a lot more fun to watch and play then POKKEN

Think it still needs a stress test, game seems fun enough to speak for itself and I doubt people with a casual interest watched this.I think Japan might change their mind after this. But you're right up until now they weren't really as hype as about Splatoon.
Smash will be a holiday title. It'll be with all the DLC + a few new fighters.
They will give Arms a few month and release Smash in December.
Agreed it would help a lot.Think it still needs a stress test, game seems fun enough to speak for itself and I doubt people with a casual interest watched this.
Any uploads yet for us casual EU gaf who needs sleep *_*
seems weird they have been able to keep all those other characters so well hidden so far without major leaks.
but these tournaments seem like a lot of hard work not to take advantage of all the attention to tease some more characters
Problem with pokken is Wii U version is outdated.
The game is out in 7 weeks. Hard to imagine we go more than a week (or 2) without a character reveal if they were serious about the whole "current roster is just a fraction" thing. At the very least we should be having a relatively steady stream of new info.
There's at least 3 unannounced characters, so 2 weeks between them sounds about right.
EDIT: These were ripped from the Nintendo Direct video,
Oh, I'm aware. I'm hoping that they're serious about saying we've only seen a fraction and that there's at least 1-2 more in the game, in addition to the 10 we've seen so far.
Did they use the word fraction?
If they did, they initially announced five and 1/2 is a fraction.
lol sorry

Thanks, updated the OP.Yes, yes I've made that point too
