When Conny had to tell Christa that Ymir was lying to get Christa to come with her:

"COME ON BRO USE YOUR FUCKING BRAIN SHEESH", hearing that from Conny definitely gave me a chuckle.

Yup, considering that Connie isn't that smart in the first place 😂

The worst thing about all these betrayals is the fact that those three traitors are great characters.

It sucks seeing them cry and suffer so much.

Best characters in the show easily, especially Ymir. Bertholdt is creepy how he never really has an angry face. Meanwhile Reiner's permanently angry, even when he's happy lol

WIT Studio is booked well into next year on other projects.

I'm actually shocked we are getting Kabaneri S2. And this early too! -_-
Gives me a bit of hope that we only have to wait until 2019 for S3. Unless they decide to make a movie version again which surely will push S3 even further.

So after 4+ years? I finally broke down and started reading the manga. I'll catch up and then look for the manga variation. No more getting spoiled.( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) Some twat like two years just wrote on a AoT s1 song "Reiner is Armor Titan, Betholt is Colossus". That's it. Just a few words. I quickly scrolled up to not read it, but there so few words, and my brain understood before understanding it was a spoiler.

How are you guys finding Season 2 compared to the first?

I liked the beginning of the first season better but much of the arc that started to get into the Female Titan was were it really started to have pacing problems and while it was a good arc, it felt like a really disappointing place to end the season.

Season 2 started off a little weak for me in the first episode or two, but once it started to pick up some momentum and some reveals made a few mysteries fall into place, it really justifies some elements from the first and second season that I felt were a little weaker at first, even with how some characters were portrayed. I wouldn't quite say the pacing improved by having a shorter season because it didn't exactly seem to make the storytelling more efficient, but the season has still felt pretty satisfying and some of the highs for this season felt higher than the highs from season 1.

Overall, I think season 1 might have been a bit better just due to pure volume, but the epic moments of season 2 might make for more iconic moments for me, so at the very least, it has been able to cut down episodes without sacrificing too much in quality. Even the animation quality was able to be pretty consistently strong minus a few really spotty moments. If they were able to have 12 episodes every year or at least every year and a half to two years, I'd be a little more satisfied than with having a 4 year wait.

Yeah, I learned to never read YouTube comments for this show pretty quickly.

I really like the song apetitan that was playing for a large portion of this past episode. But if you type apetitan into youtube you're really kind of just asking for it. I managed to download it so I never have to type it into youtube again but it was a scary experience. Anything AoT that pops up in youtube I won't even look at it. The speed at which spoilers can jump into your brain is frightening.

I love it when a title or a theme is said or acknowledged by the characters. I've been hearing shinzou wo sasageyo, dedicate your heart over and over again in the intro so when Erwin said it right before leading that charge it made it that extra bit special.

Speaking of Erwin (and I'm not asking for spoilers) I wonder if there was more to his "there's no future for humanity without Eren" beyond Eren being able to turn into a Titan and fight other titans on a more level playing field. The way Reiner and Berthold talk about there being no hope for those within the walls it really sounds like something with more gravity than just a load of titans overrunning the walls is coming. Perhaps there is something else special about only Eren beyond him fighting that can stop it. They did call him possibly a coordinate or something like that.

I also loved the moment (punctuated by what was it? I think the counterattack mankind music) when the members of the 104th were still in disbelief that someone that slept under the same roof and had so many experiences with them had done this to them. I wish we could see more from that time between season 1 episode 3 and 4. I feel like there is a gigantic timeskip right between 3 and 4 where things like the fight between Mikasa and Annie and Ilse's Notebook happened.

Can't wait for episode 37. I just know that by the time the credits roll I'll just be sitting in my seat like wow what just happened? and not know what to do with myself for a good 15 minutes afterward. And up to now still don't know who the real enemy is. That is a question they continue to ask. Who is the enemy? What does it mean to fight? I really want to know but I don't think I'll ever look at the manga unless it's decided that the anime just isn't going to continue.

Better, I think. I know a lot of people had problems with the pacing of season 1, but I thought it was mostly fine. Pacing in season 2 is definitely better except for maybe 2 episodes, and theres a lot of cool reveals.

I do think I miss the larger scale operations from season 1 like Trost but what was here has been pretty sweet.

What are you even talking about? Every point you just made is dead wrong and speaks more to your attention span and superficiality than it does the quality of the manga.
Hilarious.

yeah, there's definitely something more to Eren that hasn't been spoken yet, and I've gotta imagine Erwin knows what it is.
we probably aren't gonna find out till they get to that stupid basement

Yeah Erwin better survive. It just feels like he knows a ton that hasn't been let on yet. Lets keep that knowledge alive please. Although it wouldn't surprise me that if he had to go, the knowledge would be passed on via I don't know a hidden compartment in the survey corps hq or something.

We've known about the basement for so long and we still can't get to it. The titans hadn't breached wall rose but I guess there's still a lot of titan infested space between rose and maria. And then Shinganshina is still on the outer side of maria. It's like the worst location in the whole human territory.

It's the other way around for me,i wish i hadn't read the manga because the anime adds more oomph with the beautiful soundtrack, art style etc.
I know waiting is really hard but you may regret it when s3 starts just like i'm doing with this season.
It's just a friendly advice, maybe you won't feel the same way but i feel kinda obligated to do it.
I love this season but it could've been better if i didn't know anything, just like i was during s1.

And it's the other way around for me, the anime made me appreciate all the details that the manga has, you already know what's coming, but you still love it because they play it out well, the animations, the delivery and the music.

I feel great for being up to date with the manga and I wouldn't change it.

Translation (kinda)
Today the TV anime "Attack on Titan Season 2" final broadcast will start! At the end of the broadcast, there is also some notice, so please do not miss it until the end and have a look!

OVA announcement most probably. (Or secret post-credits mindfuck scene?)

They don't really have any material for OVAs at this point IIRC?

Hopefully it's the S3 announcement.

This website http://shingeki.tv/news/archives/3017 says that on June 24th there is a broadcast and that the page will be updated.

This broadcast: https://anidb.net/perl-bin/animedb.pl?show=ep&eid=188215

It also says it's based on manga, no original content.

Can't be an OVA, because as someone on reddit said: "OVAs are usually bundle with manga volumes. The upcoming Vol 23 doesn't seem to include one."

Season 2 after-story/epilogue?

How are you guys finding Season 2 compared to the first?

Honestly not great. Enjoying it regardless, but despite the pacing being better the brevity of the season combined with it still dragging it's heels pretty badly IMO has made it feel like virtually nothing has happened.

To top it off the last two episodes have been doing their best to avoid giving an explanation to what's really going on whilst expecting me to care for both sides. I really hope we get something in today's episode or else the season will be one large disappointment to me.

Hell even what the teased in the intro has hardly been touched on.

That sounds like a behind the scenes episode for S2 or something else like that, since this was only a 12-ep season and they need to fill the timeslot for 1 more episode till the next show's ready to launch.

Explanation for what? This is how mysteries work. They aren't going to lay it all out.

I want at least a small idea of what Reiner's actually up to. I don't expect the whole thing laid out but the mystery for that has run for a couple episodes now, one of which they tried to get rather heartfelt on and it's just not doing anything for me personally when I've got nothing to work with. I know it's a shorter season but despite the pacing being handled a bit better, I don't feel like there's been much progress in the overall narrative at all. I'm probably just more interested in whatever will happen in S3 I guess.

I just want to say that even if it's hard to guess everything just from watching, all the clues are in the anime. Maybe you can't get the full picture, but they drop hints all over the place. Every word they say has some meaning to it, since S1. If you want to analyse it, you will be busy for a long time theorising :) That's part of the fun!

Every word that anyone says? Or every word that Reiner and Berthold say? If it's mainly Reiner and Berthold then I'm more inclined to re-watch some episodes but if it's everyone then that might be more than I'd like to take on and try to piece together.

Let's see how can I phrase this haha. Not every single word, but Reiner, Bert and Annie's (and even Ymir) conversations or things they say might be interesting to look at.

As a reader, It's been shocking to find out the amount of "oh I know what you mean you sneaky bastard" in S1 and 2. (Be aware that Reiner has this dual-personality thing going-on)

As I said, it might not give you the full picture or their true intentions, but a lot can be theorised just by looking ;) Even more with Ymir's flashback, which was a shock to readers because of things they showed that weren't meant to be shown until S4.

Was this explanation vague enough? Don't want to get into trouble :/

Also, I want to use this post to say what showed up in the end of the last episode:
