TEKKEN 7 |OT| How I killed your mother

Lili is so annoying to fight against, her moves seems to be short range but it's very misleading, her flips are confusing and her wall carry potential is insane... Her voice is annoying to listen to as well

Any tips against Lili?
She's not very good, but like everything else in Tekken, you need to know the match-up.

-With all of the moves where she's flipping around like an idiot (like d/f+3+4), they're very linear so you should be able to sidestep/sidewalk them easily.
-None of her launchers are safe -- you really need to know the appropriate punishes for things like u/f+3 (the hopkick), d/f+2, f,f+2 (her power crush), d+3+4, etc.. The latter two moves are launch punishable on block by everyone in the game.
-None of the backturned setups are advantageous on block so you should be challenging them. Just be aware that she has ways to crush both lows (BT d+3+4, BT d+3) and highs (BT 3+4) when backturned, so you may get mashed out on from time to time anyway.
-You do need to respect her range a bit -- don't go senselessly whiffing moves in space or you're going to end up eating hopkicks, 3,1, qcf+1,2, etc..
-You shouldn't need to worry about her lows much. f,f+4 is annoying but also has relatively little range and a lot of recovery on whiff.

Pretty much dropped Leo and going to Jin (again). Jin has so much more damage output, and way more moves that convert to good juggles. I discovered an awesome 62 damage combo simply from his f, f+3

Also it's pretty nutty that everyone from Tekken 4 has had the same in-game grunts/yells all the way up to Tekken 7

I'd be interested to know what the specifics of this are.

To avoid getting matched up with these players probably lol

I'm the other way, I much prefer his combos now, and the wall carry is totally absurd.

You can get over 70 damage from BOK2 or DB3 as well.

I like the way her combos flow, the crouch dashes in them are satisfying.

My standard juggle with Leo is 59, ain't bad dmg considering all her other tools.

Played for the first time in a week. Just trying to get to a rank where I feel like I'm getting smashed. Think that'll be out of the green ranks from being matched up last night.

Settled on Jin/Raven. I just can't say enough how amazing this PC version is.

Thank you! Appreciate the help. Didn't know her moves were that unsafe. Generally speaking I'm quite good with my Alisa but I still face problems against button mashers when they get super aggressive and Just throws me off guard with all those snake edges.

Yup, 59 is her peak for average launchers. Although I've heard you can add 4 before f2 to eek it above 60 (on discord this morning haven't tested)

Her midscreen damage is eh, but it's all about that wall damage and post oki.

No, it's 4 -instead- of f2. Adds two damage so you get 61 off df2 and 60 off uf4. But it gets a little on the wonky side at longer ranges.

That makes a hell of a lot more sense. When I (mis)read it this morning I couldn't understand how b1,4 would connect after both moves.

Finally made it to Green Ranks after 82 wins. Which I'm happy with considering a week ago I didn't even have an inkling of how to play Tekken, and now I can consider myself average :)

Finally got to try vr with this. Wish they gave more camera freedom during the vr battle. Like give the camera the freedom to swing 180 degrees from one corner to the other, or have a more fleshed out training mode option with it. The character viewer is pretty limited too. Would be great if it can stay in vr the entire time while in customize mode.

Already kind of bored of tekken. The new characters are kind of lame and the online is terrible. Kind of want to hold out in case they add lei, but dunno

This+SFV taught me the hard way to never buy fighting games on first day or even first month, you pay more for less.

Awesome and congrats! We have a local player here doing an online tournament tonight, hope I can make it in and do well.

Loving this game can't get enough of it! :)

I've decideted to play focus on two-three characters and practice all the rest to have a decent understanding of them.

I need to find a good character to counter Jack. Any suggestions?

Now I have a wait 5 more hours to play more. Uh! Hurry up work!

Damn.

Bryan the anti-PC modder meme huh? lol I'll take it.

But don't worry. If he gets out of control, we have means to bring him back in.

Anyone know if the Seimitsu ls-56 is compatible with a SFIV 20th anniversary TE fightstick? This is the OG stick for the 360.

edit - it's a Madcatz with sanwa switches

Personally, I would just change the spring on the stick to add more tension. I added a 2lb spring to my JLF and it feels phenomenal. I purchased it on Focusattack and it was around $5 total with shipping.

Is king a bad character for a beginner to learn? I'm ready to take off the Katarina training wheels.

Alisa is pretty good for beginners, easy combos and juggles without stances or wave dashes and really good pokes and good wall carry potential.

Her back dashing is also very good, she covers alot of distance just by a single back dash. She has many launchers (df2, b3+4, 1+2, uf44, snake edge d3+4)

Poking game is strong with b1, db3, df1, df4 which are all very fast.

She's the only character that clicks with me aside from Kazuya so I may be biased but try her out, she's fun and easy to use.
