I think terrorism charges would have to come at the federal level. If the feds take jurisdiction of this case because they want to charge him with federal crimes, it would be announced at some later time, after an investigation (remember, the DOJ investigated the Michael Brown shooting to see if they would charge the police officer with anything, even after the local prosecutor refused to).
I don't think the local cops can charge with a terrorism charge, if it's not a local or state law.
That's what's kinda interesting about this. Trump can't pardon him unless he's charged/convicted of federal crimes. So in a way, I almost don't want it to go federal.

Like I said in an earlier post, they actively ignore it. They don't want to know about it. Many have convinced themselves that as long as they (themselves) aren't running around calling people racial slurs, then they aren't racist even if they "just happen" to vote for the same people that racists do, and "just happen" to hold the same ideologies that racists do.

She is quoted as saying she just thought he was "going to a Trump rally." The implication and context of her quote suggests that she endorsed him going to a Trump rally, but didn't realize it was an "alt-right" rally or anything associated with racism.
This is the picture of passive enabling. "I'm all for voting for a racist and giving a platform to other racists, but that doesn't make me a racist, so my conscience is clear."
Given what that article says appears on this pile of excrement's facebook page, would the FBI have enough to go ahead with hate crime charges? Nazi propaganda has to carry some weight.
