Ive never seen a violent hate crime so extensively photographed. According to Shaun King (whose kept this story alive the last week) "(the public) provided authorities: 7 videos, 142 images, 2 confirmed identities, and 1 address."
Two photojournalists were on hand to witness the beating.

A week later, no arrest warrants have been issued and nobody has so much as even been brought in for questioning.

I remember the four Black youths in Chicago who tortured that mentally handicapped White kid on facebook live ended up in cuffs within a matter of days.
Meanwhile, in this case, one of the suspects went on facebook to gloat about his role in the beating and he still hasnt been arrested.

White people specifically.

Should also have put a graphic warning in the title OP.

They're just waiting for all of the facts, as you know the police never take action before carefully evaluating all of the facts.

Now what's the next step in your master plan?
But he probably got caught with a dime bag one time so he probably deserved it.

Probably have to kick up big enough of a stink to make them do anything about it. They are prolly just hoping that this goes away.

Police are just trying to teach everyone history. If you punish this how will people learn about history and therefore prevent it from happening again?

Shameful. The rest of the world are looking at the US in horror. This is not a country that should lead the world.

Obama would have had the feds on this in a heartbeat (as i would bet some of these people crossed state lines to commit this hate crime.)

Disgusting and disappointing.

No democratic representative or senator picked this up too? If this was a white man everyone would trample themselves over for their spot on the hill.

Im 100% certain the authorities would look the other way on this if twitter wasnt keeping this story alive with tens of thousands of retweets a day.

But guys, white supremacy is just about actual literal nazis and affiliated groups, and even some of those guys were good people! It's not systemic and institutional, and there's no way that this attack and the lack of arrests have anything to do with he greater problem of discrimination in systems that citizens depend on.

I, for one, will wait on all the facts before I condemn the police for not doing their jobs when a group of white men beat an innocent black guy up with clubs and poles, and then not making any arrests despite evidence from multiple sources.

Fuck the police, fuck the system, fuck Republicans, and fuck moderate and liberal apologists who do nothing when injustice happens.

No the fuck he wouldn't people on this forum love to praise Obama like a god. He did nothing for Mike Brown and others he might talked about it but end of the day nothing.

The DOJ under obama sued multiple police departments for general brutality and racism. They also did several federal investigation into specific police brutality claims. The DOJ under Trump will do none of that.

Not every investigation can prove crimes were committed, and Obama didnt control the results of the investigations. He did urge an investigation into the Brown shooting which did in fact happen, so to say he did nothing is patently false.

To suggest Obama would have urged and instructed the DOJ to investigate this crime is a reasonable suggestion based on his actions and is in no way suggesting he was some God. Your post ammounts to falsehoods and shit posting with false allegations.

I know I'm going against the grain here and you guys have to realize I am 100% on your side here regarding the fight against white supremecy, but using the word 'lynching' is being a bit hyperbolic is it not? The definition is:

To kill (someone), especially by hanging, for an alleged offense with or without a legal trial.

I mean, this was a terrible crime, but the guy wasn't killed. I just don't think we should should soften a word that describes such a horrible travesty.

Grade A tone policing. More policing then what is happening on the case apparently. Only reason dude is alive is because the photographer helped him

Public records show Ramos’ last known address is in north Marietta, but he was not known to either the Marietta or Cobb County police. No one was home when a reporter knocked on the door Thursday. FBI officials declined comment and the Charlottesville Police Department did not return requests for comments on Ramos.

Earlier this week, the Charlottesville police asked witnesses and victims of crimes committed during the protest to come forward with information. Both federal and local police have come under fire for failing to make arrests in Harris’ very public beating.

On Friday, the Charlottesville Police Department issued a statement saying they were working with state and federal law enforcement on “the egregious assault” on Harris. The statement did not name any suspects but solicited tips.

If he is in Cobb County, local police do not, at this time, have any authority to arrest Ramos. Cobb County Police spokesman Sgt. Dana Pierce said the department has not received a warrant for Ramos’ arrest from either federal authorities or police in Virginia.

Fair enough, I just opened the thread thinking someone died. Lynching is a word that has real history of sorrow and loss, and the gravity of that should be preserved in my opinion.

If you wanna be all technical terry about it. Lynching is a form of extrajudicial punishiment on black people used to promote white supremacy. So outside of the fact that this man is still alive, which he is lucky to be. This was an attempted lynching. They were in the process of lynching this man. He was being lynched. A lynching in process.
