Yakuza developers announce "Fist of the North Star" game (PS4, 2018, more at TGS)

Fist of the North Star definitely has made its rounds recently, hasn't it? First we got two Musou games based on the series, and now it looks like we got ourselves a "FotNS" with the style of Yakuza now.

Can't wait to see if we see Kenshiro do Hokuto Shinken Karaoke.

Holy crap this is everything I would want in a Fist of the North Star game.

At first I read the subject and saw it in quotes and thought it meant they were making a game like, FotNS, not an actual game based on the series.

Time for Hokuto Hyakuretsu-ken. I am ready.

I read the thread title and was like we'll see. After reading up the Star Citizen stuff. Then saw the content. My jaw dropped.

I might finish this game before I fully complete a Yakuza game.

Seriously? Go get Yakuza 0 right now and play it. It's an amazing game and very much worth playing especially with Kiwami 1 releasing next week, Kiwami 2 next year (for the West) and Yakuza 6 in March.

I've only ever seen the Fist of the North Star anime movie, which I thought was so-so, but this definitely has an entertainingly over-the-top absurdity in a kind of Yakuza-meets-Platinum kind of way.

This looks fucking incredible. This is the game that FOTNS always deserved. I'm over the fucking moon. Like, the absurdity of this series makes complete sense for the Yakuza team. Wow.

What a time to be alive.

I actually have a copy of Yakuza 0 from early this year. But have been giving more love to the Switch. Screw it I'll start it up tomorrow and see how far I go. I can forego some sleep.

Yeah that's really a good description. Really happy the Yakuza devs are on the project. I feel like they will do the series justice.
