Trump says he's looking into welfare reform because people are taking advantage of it.

"Men like Harvey Weinstein are empowered to assault and harass women for decades with impunity because women are forced by their peers and environments to stay silent about it or else"

"Hillary Clinton should just shut up and not talk about Harvey Weinstein"

Hillary Clinton should just go off somewhere and die in a hole and never say anything again.

Can't talk about LGBT because she used to be against it.

Can't talk about the election because she fucked up and hired a trash campaign head.

Can't talk about Russia because her emails and collusion against Bernie.

Can't talk about Harvey Weinstein because of her husband.

Can't talk about Trump because she should have said shit during the election.

Clinton Derangment Syndrome will never go away.

I'd really love to see Trump learn how much more welfare abuse goes on amongst his own base with all the poor rural white people inappropriately collecting disability money, as opposed to the extremely exaggerated accounts of inner city welfare queens.

I just always think of that story from the first pass at AHCA telling some on-the-fence conservative Congressman to “forget the little shit” in response to a genuine question.

It’s a two-way street, asshole. You can’t sell this Congress or any Congress on “your” proposals because you have no idea what the hell they do or what they’re supposed to do. Obama understood this, he was able to combine his natural charisma and excitement with a legitimate understanding of the issues.

What he didn’t do was bark orders at would-be allies on Twitter while sitting on the porcelain throne and shirking responsibility whenever he could.

Here's some good news:

A majority of Americans say that Republican plans for changing the tax code will favor the wealthy.

According to a new CBS News Nation Tracker poll, 58 percent of Americans think the current proposals would favor the wealthy, 19 percent think reform would treat everyone equally, and 18 percent think the GOP plan would favor the middle class.

The better we can define the GOP tax bill as a tax cut for the wealthy, the harder we can make it on them to pass it.

Holy shit, this new Trump quote on video:

There’s going to be so many attack ads showing that and the rate increases.

Amazingly stupid.

IT would require them to be on site

In the throes of the 2016 campaign, the FBI found itself with an escalating problem: Russian diplomats, whose travel was supposed to be tracked by the State Department, were going missing.

The diplomats, widely assumed to be intelligence operatives, would eventually turn up in odd places, often in middle-of-nowhere USA. One was found on a beach, nowhere near where he was supposed to be. In one particularly bizarre case, relayed by a U.S. intelligence official, another turned up wandering around in the middle of the desert. Interestingly, both seemed to be lingering where underground fiber-optic cables tend to run.

You know. I think Graham sounding the alarm on McConnell is pretty surprising. If turtleface goes down in flames then there’s a good chance he’s gonna be replaced with a Trump lapdog who will kill the filibuster for everything.

Who's a Trump lapdog that could land the job?

He can't kill the filibuster without 50 votes to do so. And if he had 50 votes to end the filibuster, he'd have 50 votes to pass whatever without messing with the filibuster.

Trump is such a child, that he holds a rose garden address to let people know he’s getting praise for
His hurricane response. You know, the thing that matter here.

Hot damn it’s another pat himself on the back session.

Mitch talking about judge appointments makes me feel sick.

Premiums in PA to go up by 30% next year. Just in time for Midterms! This is literally the worst case scenario for the GOP (and it actively fucks so many people)

meeting is about:

Tax reform

and announcing senate will try to push through more Trump judge nominations to lower courts

----------------

Tax Reform is priority
(nixon took years, ive only been here 9 months. the key priority, obama failed, clinton failed)

Senate still working on a healthcare platform: (failing misearbly obama obama)

mcconnell: I support the president, what you are reporting is false. (certainly sounds like a loytay demand from trump)

trump: I have 100% backing from GOP! so less than 50% goppers back trump it is

As I speculated earlier, I think even most republicans now realize the trickle-down trash isn't true. 18 percent think it benefits the middle class? Hilarious.

Think about that for the midterms: The vast majority of people think that the president and Congress are helping the rich and hurting the poor and middle class. I feel the House changing.

"Congress is awful, don't blame me. They're awful, terrible at their job"

On the day Trump declared Obamacare to be no more.

Gee this’ll work out just swell.

So basically, Republican control in 2018 because Dems are terrible at messaging.

They're also too honest.

Trump will literally say, "Your premiums just went up 30% because of Obama, and my plan is saving you money somehow despite the fact that this cost you an arm and a leg, also I will give free healthcare to white people somehow"

And about 30-40% of voters will believe him.

And the Dems will say "Policy wonk adjustable earnings pegged to inflation blah blah blah"

The only thing they've done well recently is forcing the term "Trumpcare" into the discussion.

The messaging is pretty easy for Dems though, and doesn't require any amount of wonking or arm twisting. Trump promised to make healthcare cheaper and better for everyone, made a few decisions, now its 30 percent more expensive.

Trump did something, now healthcare is more expensive.

Trump did something, now healthcare is more expensive.

Rinse and repeat for the next year.

Herb Kohl makes his endorsement for Wisconsin governor, probably sealing the establishment choice

Looks like it’s Super Nintendo Evers

With Wisconsin’s sudden lurch to the far right, you’d think they’d be happy with how everything shook out. Full GOP control of their state and country. Or maybe they’ll realize how fucking dumb all of that was and give Walker (and Trump in 2020) the boot. Who knows!

I would think that Russia's recent resurgence as the world's supervillain would make keeping NATO around a fairly obvious thing. They'd totally just invade everything if they thought they could get away with it.

And yea, the rest of it is pretty dumb as well. Whoever came up with it needs to take a step back.
when people say things like "Russia is the world's supervillain" I'd like to remind them that the United States is currently in a war with Yemen that has killed over ten thousand civilians and that this all has happened under the "good president".
