Christina is all of these things, and not a single one of these descriptors could be applied to Leona "American Apparel" Lewis - who has spent her
entire career being ushered from the boring, to the slow, to the
safe, until she was led, finally, to what she now stands before: a giant brick wall.
Tone: Leona "Constipated Mariah" Lewis'
versatility, as you described it, is her mere ability to change volume and does nothing to even come close to the versatility Aguilera displays on even her worst days. Whether it's in her overly breathy and unsupported lows, or her shrill highs, Leona absolutely fails at conveying anything other than that morose, melancholic tone that is
definitely hers. I see she's also still doing that annoying thing where she ends every phrase in a squeak, or cuts them off outright.
Let Christina show you how it's done:

All I Need" - Notice the evenness of tone, and her fully supported lows. Observe how her voice is staying feather-light
while maintaining her signature rich tone and power. Notice that, despite how low she gets and how long she holds a note, she never falls off the note or cuts it off, but gently lets it go. Be in awe of the seamless transitions and the buttery-smooth key changes.
"
I Am" - Another example of Christina singing tenderly and
still being more dynamic than your fave. But especially on display here is what I mentioned in an earlier post: Christina's ability to apply melisma to stunning effect when properly reigned in. Pay special attention to the second bridge and chorus. Christina sounds absolutely beautiful here - vocals practically floating through the melody, gently caressing each note and gracefully transitioning from head to chest voice in a way that puts even Leona "Hiccup Vocals" Lewis to shame.
Now, I realize that every criticism I have of Leona "Ambien" Lewis' lows can easily be made of Christina Aguilera's poorer technique in her highs (something even
I'm not stan enough to ignore), but I'll take you back to my original point in the post you addressed:
When both singers are in their comfort zones, Christina Aguilera is just capable of more. Way More. So much more it isn't even funny. This is
undeniable.
We've seen Christina go from the
sultry jazz,
to playfully Broadway,
to fierce rock diva,
to pop balladeer,
to R&B songstress, to
Hip-Hop hook princess, and back again.
Could you fave ever? No, she could never. Prove me wrong and I'd gladly eat my hat, but you couldn't. Because Leona "One-Note" Lewis could never.
Ever. And no number of times you link to "Collide" will change that.

singing into a mic that has an echo filter applied to it?

Since I've already been put to sleep by her music, wake me up when Leona "I'm Vegan Today" Lewis does something even remotely close to this good.
Complex choreography, live, unfiltered vocals. And it's worth pointing out that Christina was able to perform at this level even after having gained considerable weight - displaying a complete dedication to
showmanship despite whatever form her body is in.
Again,
could she ever? No, never.
Leona need not announce herself, since her beauty and voice speak for themselves. Yet while she could easily get by being a catty classless ho, a catfighitng bully, or a spoiled diva bitch, she instead remains humble and seemingly unaware of her god-tier everything. Your fave could never be this effortlessly charming.
I'm not going to touch on the blatant slut-shaming here,
because Christina has already done so herself through song.
But I will add that I'm glad that Christina isn't graceful, or classy. In this industry, that word is too often applied to artists who don't have the talent, conviction, and just plain out balls
to be anything else. I'll take balls-out rude bitches who aren't afraid to say and do whatever they want like Xtina, Rihanna and Adele over "classy" hoes like Leona "Sidelines" Lewis.
