I've grown pretty tired of the thread for basically the same reasons, unfortunately. No one's interested in hearing new songs/artists or, well, much of anything beyond incoherent shrieking and gifs.

I can understand why you might have grown bored with this thread. There definitely is a disproportionate amount of stanning to actual music discussion/discovery. At the same time, there really isn't exactly a promising new pop act to discuss every day. Still, thanks to this thread, I've discovered some new music (to me, at least), discussed 'breaking news,' and laughed at the gifs. I don't think you can expect too much more from GAF.

For the sake of contributing to actual music "sharing," here's a link to an overlooked Kelis single that is quite different from her usual fare. (I don't think it was a single in the US, so UK Gaffers don't yell at me if you know the song well).

Edit: I recall seeing a thread about *NSYNC just the other day. Here's a short music video they did for the cover of Janet's "That's The Way Love Goes." They sound so good on this track, I don't think I've heard another song in which each of guys has his own 'moment.' It will haunt me forever that there isn't a studio version for this song (that I know of).

I've never liked Fiona Apple, she's a wonderful lyricist, I guess, but her voice bores me.

Jenn Wasner from the band Wye Oak is taking a brief detour into pop music and wrote a song "for" Robyn:
Sometimes you are a fan of a person or a thing so much that it starts to get inside of your head and take you over.
I’m a big fan of Robyn, and not too long ago, a song started to take shape in my head with her fingerprints all over it.
You can’t really deny something like that when it happens to you, so I finished it.
I am very excited to finally be able to share a recording of this song with you.
It’s on my soundcloud now. It’s called “REPLICA”.
I wrote, performed, and arranged this track, with the absolutely indispensable assistance of my right-hand man, producer-extraordinare Mickey Free.
We did our best with it, but I think Robyn could do better.
