If I ever post something in Japanese which I don't understand, please BAN me.
Just a little hint, OT will be ~3.5MB heavy... so prepare your 56k modems. :D

I didnt go wild with the art, but It's all peiced together to look very nice.

Ugh, it sickens me that there are people who want less puzzles in Darksiders.

I'm not a fan of them and I would prefer them to be gone too if they had something better to replace them. I wouldn't want them cut out to just have Death walk to a location 20 minutes longer, but I hate being slowed down by puzzles. That goes for anything in life, I hate puzzles of any kind.

edit: I really hope the OT isn't as embarrassing as the Assassin's Creed Revelations one. That was like a giant PR piece.

Yes you can! I made it, I decide who gets to see it! LOL Here is the small glimpse to the main banner art.

Oh my god The Crucible looks so cool *-*

The worst part is that I don't think I'll be able to get it day one anymore, not much money to spend, so I'll have to wait even more lol

Life is beautiful

What about the AC:R OT?

That was embarrassing and I think Evilore or some other mod even shut it down at first. I don't know if they thought he was a viral marketer or something but it eventually was reopened.

But no OT should be almost an entire god damn page long.

Alright, duders. If we're talking OT soon, I think I shall announce my departure. I've already spoiled enough for myself, and I don't want to spoil anymore until I've finished both this and Sleeping Dogs.

Wait, so I get 2 bonuses for having a save AND platting DS1? Sweet.
Also excited to get my limited-edition glass stein.

There is no award for platinum. Weapon for starting game, and armor for finishing the game [any diff].

OT will not have spoilers, and we will not allow them.

I hate you and everything you stand for you filthy nincompoop. Seriously though, different strokes for different folks, different people are going to enjoy different forms of gameplay, I get it.

I just love every bit of the mix of influences and gameplay that Darksiders represents. Vigil's tagline that it's "a game by gamers for gamers" really rings true for me when playing the original game. It hits on so many of the notes that comprise what I love about videogames and I would hate to see a key part of that - the old-school Nintendo/Zelda dungeon/puzzle influence - stripped away in favour of a faster pace.

I just hope that as the series continues and prospers that it doesn't lose any of its multitude influences, but rather enhances and adds to them. I have faith that even if this were to happen the games would still be well-crafted, great games, but I'd be saddened by the development.

Wow, the crucible sounds pretty awesome.
One question: if you die in hardcore mode in the crucible will you be perma dead. I guess no but asking can´t hurt.

You don't ever want to be surprised in a game outside of the story? I remember playing San Andreas the first time and being blown away when Car Customization opened up

Ok, I can understand that...I was thinking more along the lines of combos or something. Fair enough.

I think what he is saying is that all the gameplay mechanics aren't going to be surprising. Since we have already seen them before in previous games.

I mean the games alternate name should be "Death My Cry for the Prince of Zelda".

Still looks fucking awesome though!

Crucible Info

  • Fight increasingly harder waves.
  • Every 5 waves cleared you are given a choice: Continue | Loot (Once selected, this resets your progress)
  • Every 25 waves cleared (in a row) you unlock a "Checkpoint" of sorts.
  • There are 100 waves split into 4 stages (25 waves each).
  • Stages unlock as the story progresses.
  • When you return, you can start from the beginning or start from an unlocked checkpoint.
  • Loot from the "Loot" option is generated based on total waves completed - the more waves completed, the more loot you get!
  • Dying in combat results in NO loot. You could clear 48 waves, die on wave 49, and you will get NOTHING.
  • There are unique Crucible-only rewards.
  • Loot from The Crucible is completely usable in the story/campaign and vice versa.
  • Once unlocked, you can access The Crucible while in Story mode (very easily!).
  • There are leaderboard stats for The Crucible.
  • Dying in The Crucible in Nightmare Mode = Combat Death (the worst kind).
  • No experience gain in The Crucible (if you are too weak, come back later!).

As a side note, something I mentioned before, this mode was made as a direct response to fans. We wanted to make sure players had an area to practice combat, test out builds, and also have even more challenges once they've beaten the game once, twice, 10 times!

Good lord. I can't wait!! Question: With the future DLC, say if new enemy types are added, will they then also be available in the crucible? Also, are the waves always the same or are they randomized?

Tragic, what is the highest level/wave number you can reach in the Crucible?

I think in the IGN video they said 100 waves.

Another random question, is it possible to keep playing on after defeating the final boss?
To farm up or do the crucible only and proceed to new game+ later on?
