Halo |OT12| Last One Out, Get the Lights

No red Xs is made way worse by the lack of default callouts next to the radar. I always have to make up a name for where I died and by the time I finish describing the place it's too late.

Played some Haven the other day and fairly confident I Spawn Trapped a guy.

4 v 2 and one of his team was AFK on the right hand side Ring 1 to Ring 2 landing. Everytime we killed him he spawned on in proximity of his bro and we killed him again. Consistently until i realized what was happening and killed the AFK player to give the poor guy a chance.

Does anyone else have a really hard time running up the front of the bases on Ragnarok? I always end up launching myself halfway through the mancannon when I try to switch from the middle to one of the side parts you need to use to make the final jump over.

Haven't seen jetpack as much. Why? Everyone is using Camo.

Playing a game of CTF on RagnaCrap, 3 of 5 enemies were using camo.

Top Middle has NEVER been so infuriating.

I've played against a few teams where everyone uses jetpack. On Haven, you have players flying 20 meters up in the air. It's like Reach all over again.

:\ Oh brother. Let's hope the DLC maps are good.

What is everyones impression of Vortex. After 130 Matchmade games, I've yet to play it. Lucky I've played Longbow and Exile a few times because of Dominion.

As well, Meltdown, What's everyones impression of that map? The two times I played it I LOVED it. Alas, Only played on it Twice. Really lame.

It's David Ellis's birthday. Take some time and show some love, happy birthday lybertyboy!
Happy birthday, and congrats on your first Spartan Ops missions being released (and awesome)!
where is final kill cam?
I think I saw it in like one or two games on the 6th. I hope it returns soon. :/

On the topic of killcams, does BTB not have them at all? I don't recall seeing them there in a long time, if they were ever there to begin with. Their absence is probably a latency thing, I guess?

These regicide challenges are killing me. Sick of playing a game type that punishes players for winning.

Also quoting this since I was last post on last page :/

So after playing snipes today I overall enjoyed it but I hope for a few changes to be made as snipers is one of my favorite and most played playlists.

-Radar Removed: It only makes games slower and promotes annoying gameplay

-Expanded map pool: I enjoy snipers on big maps but I also enjoy small maps for variety. Add Haven, Adrift, and Abandon to the mix.

-Beam Rifles: Halo 3 did a good job with these, have them on the map but don't allow players to spawn with them.

-Secondary Weapon/Nades: A secondary weapon would be a tremendous help, like reach if you empty your clip you get a longer reload animation which can be avoided by Y+Ying while holding a secondary weapon. If players find it to be a problem being cleaned up or annoyed by pistol shots you could even use a plasma pistol which would be of little use. As for nades, its not a big deal but they can be useful for cleaning up a long distance kill that is hiding.

-Armor abilities: This is a big iffy one to me but it could be fun to add Hologram, Thruster pack and Hardlight Shield.

Though I thoroughly enjoy Halo 4, the matchmaking needs a serious overhaul. Playlists need to be condensed, added to, and adjusted, and I hope 343 starts making better use of their weekly matchmaking updates by fixing current playlists and not removing old favorites which seems to be hinted.

The Few Regicide games iv played i enjoyed. The Play at 75% until the last 30 seconds system works. Its a bad idea to make players "half-play" but its an easy win.

would have liked a secondary weapon. sniper rifle sounds stupid, looks stupid, flinch is fucking horrible.

radar in snipers is like putting radar in SWAT.

and lack of death markers still annoying especially in snipers and swat.

especially in SWAT. How am I supposed to make dumb "one shot on my x" jokes now?

How long did Frankie say it'd be before the game figured out who the good hosts are? I've stopped calling the SAW in for now because apparently it's turned into a peashooter and I'm losing 1v1 battles to AR users. Connections are still getting worse somehow :/

Just played oddball, we'd clear them out of a base on Adrift, they would throw the ball off the edge, the ball resets in the opposing base where they all spawn. What the fuck why would you make the oddball reset location "DYNAMIC AND EXCITING".

I find it tricky to tell who on my team has the ball. Anyone else feel the same?

I've had that, strange because in other objective mode it's patently clear who's doing what given all the on screen indicators and in ear reminders.

Played quite a bit yesterday, managed to get out of my two game groove and play about 10. Enjoyed myself, for the most part, CTF was pretty fun on Complex. It seems that map is decent for one game type and one game type only. Some might argue it's good for Flood, but I think any half decent Forge map could be better. Speaking of, I hope 343 decides to drop some Forge creations into MM soon. Slayer Pro is calling out for it, as is Flood. And MLG need to get a playlist ASAP, I need my fix of classic, competitive Halo. I'm just hoping the customisation options available to them are enough.

Oh, and put me in the camp who despise the flinch mechanic and vastly preferred the scope out deterrent.

It's tricky because the "Kill" and "Protect" (or whatever it says) icons are red and blue, but they aren't based on which team has the ball. "Kill" is always blue, even if the team holding the ball is red, and vice versa. It's a little annoying.

Edit: Oh, you meant on your team. I dunno then.

Not neccecarily Ragnarok, but I really hate it when I get launched by the mancannons in Exile, unintended. They're really sensitive.

The settings for Snipers have always been hit or miss since H2's. Radar in Halo 3's made it a camping fest because of it, and not to mention your unlimited ammo. Sit your little buns behind a rock or crate, and you're set. The Beam Rifle spawn is why I prefer that and Human Rifle as the only weapons on the map, and making players walk to pick them up rather than having unlimited shots.

I don't get why they fall in love with putting more large maps in than anything else. Especially with radar on. It's going to evolve into player's sitting in one small area and once they see a red dot, start chucking down every grenade and mash the sprint button into a cave or building.

Agreed. Good games. Objective games in Halo 4 are leagues ahead of the non-MLG objective games in Reach. Good Riddance Headhunter! Smell you later Stockpile!
Reach's CTF and Assault still blows away anything objective in this game, no matter how awful Headhunter or Stockpile were. Oddball is a bit better, but still shakes out the same way. Dominion and Invasion is a toss-up, though Dominion throws out way more power weapons.

"Kill" should always be red and "Protect" should always be blue. Shit is confusing sometimes.

While we are on it... Does somebody else feel confused in Halo 4 sometimes?

I'm playing Bumper Jumper for years now, but I'm keep trying to jump with A or trying to sprint with X sometimes...

I'm also trying to switch the nades with A and when I throw a nade then, I'm always wondering, why the nade I wanted to throw isn't thrown.

Why is this happening to me? Anyone else, who plays Bumper Jumper, has the same problems?

Sprint jump and then jump again on the parts that look like you shouldn't be able to run up on. The front ramp that was used in Halo 3 is annoying to use so just use the sides.
