However when you argue with "x is better than y", then prepare to argue properly and not use subjective terms and opinions as objective arguments.

You do not state "Pokemon is running out of ideas!", be answered with why it isn't, and then go with "it's just an opinion" for defense.

That's my issue with that argument as well. X and Y are more daring as titles than anything that came before. They're single letters with a lot of importance accorded to them. I think that's creative and interesting.

There is no way to actually give objective opinions, as opinions are subjective. Objectively there's nothing wrong with the naming scheme, but that isn't what matters on a person to person basis obviously.

You argue with "their names" lacking imagination. We argued that that isn't the case by providing examples and such. You do NOT resort to opinions when you are trying to argue on an objective standpoint.

Red/Blue/Yellow aren't exactly any more interesting than Black/White or X/Y. If anything, they are actually coming up with more intriguing, useful titles now that they are using them as more than just the color of the box legendary.

I've played White and most of White 2 and the most I got from that was the fact one pokemon was white and one pokemon was black. If you're talking about the ideals of the Bad Guys, all the pokemon games are black and white conflicts.

Really? You skip through all the dialogue or something? I mean, White 2 had a bit less of the starkness of the first games (it mostly tried to tie up threads left off in BW), but it's evident from the very first encounter with Team Plasma and N in Black/White the sort of direction that the story will take.

And I mentioned all that to support the idea that they chose the title not just for R+Z, but for the plot themes as well. Every single game title before BW had absolutely no relation to the story, aside from referring to the box legendary. None.

That depends of Fennekin's evo is faster. Blaziken can wreck it with Shadow Claw if it's not careful.

So basically you're saying you liked it when the Pokemon in the game were reflected in the naming scheme, and you're let down by how the turn it's taken is resulting in the legendaries shoehorned into the white and black non-colours or in this case the X and Y shapes.

I can buy that.

I would argue they are being incorporated well into the mythos of the newer games, but if you're completely oblivious or apathetic to this, it's understandable you may be disappointed.

It seemed like Iwata was hinting towards that in the gen I section of the direct. I was surprised when we got cover legendaries after all.

If RBY were made now I think it would focus on Mewtwo and Mew more. RB really didn't have a whole lot of story, especially not compared to GSC and everything that came after. I like the lore based around trios, but I wouldn't mind seeing them go another path. I'm just not sure what they would actually do, because each game, the legends are the basis and lore of all the new regions. It would be weird to not learn as much about the past of the regions as we do now.

I want some change, personally, I get tired after a decade or so of the same old same old. I think RBY had enough story with Team Rocket, the Gym Leaders and Gary myself. However, I'm not just talking about rivals, there is more than what they can do with the story.

Mm, I don't know if they would put focus on M2... Team Rocket were a constant presence in those games because they were just gangsters/yakuza - they didn't really aspire to be anything than what they already were. They didn't need Mewtwo (or any other legendary) to further their central goal of getting that dollar through manipulation of Pokemon.

Like, every flying Pokemon can fly, every water Pokemon can surf (and make Surf and Waterfall the same thing FFS) every fighting Pokemon can use strength etc.

And they shouldn't need to be learned... or take up a move slot. Just have them there in the menu by default.

Just from the pose Yveltal is making in its art, I can already tell the animation it will use for beam-based attacks is going to be amazing.
